I increasingly feel the move is to trade down to #4 to take Amen (If Joe likes him) and get a hold of the future Brooklyn picks. Then we would have leverage with those greedy sons of bitches for a future Mikal trade. :smiley-chainsaw:

I don't think so. I think if we're going to take a player and risk pissing off Dame, I think we're going to go for the most likely star player, and that's Scoot.

This is not a power superstars have had. Kobe demanded a trade and the Lakers told him no. Durant demanded a trade and the Nets told him no; until 8 months later when they eventually got a great offer they changed their mind and decided to go through with it.

Do you think Dame has more power than Kobe or Durant?

How could Dame cry about not receiving "loyalty" if he is trying to force his way off a team he committed to and was rewarded with a $200 million extension that hasn't even started yet?
Durant was reported to have gone into a meeting and requested a trade and the team convinced him not to. It's not like they just told him no. When he actually demanded it and it didn't even have to go public the Nets obliged. As far as Kobe goes I don't know what you're talking about. I know after they lost in the playoffs in 2007 that Kobe had some legendary blow up that they talked him down from but I don't think it ever went as far as a trade demand.

Are you telling me that you think if Dame asked out and the team said no that it wouldn't do damage to our franchise? I think you know it would be bad. Would trying to flex on Dame be worth that damage?

Also you throw out two extremely flimsy examples after we saw four or five trade demands met in the last year.

Brandon Miller looks like he knows he’s a Blazer with that suit!
I did notice that. I warmed up to him when he said Paul George was his GOAT. Not because i like Junk George. But i can't stand Michael DooDad. And when he said name the best Jordan highlight, he mentioned a missed , air ball freethrow. I was like "Right On" kid. My favorite Jordan highlight is Clyde going up & under Jordan's armpit to dunk on him in the '92 All Star Game.

I was gonna go to the live thing 1080 the fan was doing but it was a rooftop bar where you needed to do valet parking and even their happy hour was expensive. So I'm staying home for this draft.

Wouldn't he get more in Toronto similar to how Brown gets more if he stays in Boston?
Well Siakam does qualify for the supermax but I'm not sure Toronto will pay him the supermax. I wouldn't want to give him the supermax and I like Siakam, I think he's really good.

Would they be ok losing him for nothing if it comes down to it?

What if Miller wanted to come here and that's why he was talking all of that shit. I mean obviously the dude thinks he's funny but saying that shit about Jordan not being the GOAT and everything was pretty extra.

Not sure if it was that, or just being young & dumb… but it was certainly well within the boundaries of “pretty extra,” IMO. Would be weird if that was (at least part of) his motivation, but I s’pose not entirely unheard of?
