Weiner stands erect and comes in the race

I'm disappointed in your puns, max. Neither of them make sense. Could just as easily have said "Wiener thrust into national spotlight" or "Wiener inserts himself into tight race".

Or, "Weiner Comes Into His Own"

Repped! Speeds, your puns are much better than mine!

"New York stricken with Wiener fever"?

In South Carolina, Gov. Mark Sanford was replaced by Nikki Haley, another Republican who has had affairs. Why aren't Republicans calling for to quit, too?

because they hate Obama? ;)

Seriously though, it's odd how certain scandals are never forgiven, while others are ignored. *coughcoughBillcoughcough*

Have the affair allegations ever been confirmed? I'm guessing no.

In a June 2010 interview, Haley said that if she were elected governor and the claims were later validated, she would resign the office (her immediate predecessor as governor, Mark Sanford, had been caught in an extramarital affair with a South American woman, which he eventually admitted to).

Poor speech: "Wiener fails to captivate"
Great speech: "Wiener wows crowd"

Gotta give the guy credit. Growing up with a name like that must've been hard. Wiener had it rough but now he's really putting himself out there. Penis.

Weiner tests the water in mayoral race: "It's deep, too"

Now he's just angry: Weiner's running sore

It's disconcerting that politicians' personal affairs are even considered "scandals" in the political realm, with so much corruption going on that actually affects the public.

Also, not going to lie, it's an easy target, but ya'll still have some pretty funny puns...

it would probably help his campaign if most people didn't think he was a dick.

Agreed (about personal lives), but I think it's based more on hypocrisy, than it is on the scandal itself.

if you espouse morality, and then you cheat on your spouse/get caught bonin' some dude (and you're a dude) after you've voted against teh ghey agenda, you deserve the title "scandal".

I don't care that Sanford was cheating on his wife, or that Clinton was a horndog. It's not my idea of what it takes to be a good person, but I don't use politicians are my compass.
