I don't think Caleb was on Zbo's level from a defensive instincts / awareness / quick twitch standpoint at the same age.
I think it's more likely that Collins becomes that starter alongside Nurkic down the road, since projects to be much more likely to provide positive value even if he's only a support piece offensively which fits better with the starting unit.
But I also think both Zach and Caleb are best suited at both ends as 5's, which is why I struggle with envisioning both being significant parts of a future front court rotation alongside Nurkic. But that's definitely looking too far down the road and if both are good enough where paying Collins vs. Swanigan after their rookie deals becomes a worthwhile debate, we're probably in a pretty good spot.
I agree about Collins next to Nurkic. Don't really agree that he's a 5 long term. I see him as a four. I think he can develop into a lamarcus type player. If you look at lamarcus when he was a rookie he was built similar to Collins and was comparable athletically as well. I just don't see Collins ever bulking up enough to handle all the good centers that dominate the NBA today. I do agree about Swanigan as a 5 long term though.
