You do read the posts people reply to you with right? I’m starting to think yoU don’t and you are another member who only reads what fits your narrative and then twists everything else into a pretzel.to fit your narrative.

Of course there are potential trade options for CJ. That isn’t the topic of debate.

Please follow along. I will try to type simple short statements to follow.

Who do you trade Cj for that will actually make us a contender and still work out financially???

I Don’t give a shit if you are the gm or not. If you can’t answer the question and nobody else around here has answered the question, then what makes you think it’s such an easy solution?

Again. I don’t necessarily disagree with you you, but I do know when I go shopping, I don’t just buy shit to buy shit. I wait fo a deal or only buy things I need. It’s common sense spending and planning. No matter what your position in life.
Are you new to the forum... I have posted many trades scenarios, I don’t need to repost over and over... and I don’t have access to what’s actually available, so you demanding me to have to solution that you will shoot down as unrealistic without eveidence is comical and pointless... so you either think 1) there are no deals available for CJ or 2) you are ok with Neil keeping status quo because you are ok with mediocrity... DOING THE SAME THING AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS IS INSANE, TAKE ONE OF THE DEALS AVAILABLE FOR CJ... it’s not about who is the best individual scorer in the trade, but the some of parts that will move this team forward

Really? All salaries, payrolls and contracts are available to the public.
You are actually validifying my point.

All the knowledge is out there but yet no one can come up with a better replacement that could take this available information and make our team better.

There are members on this site that provide potential answers every day, instead of just screaming he needs to go all the time.

The fact that nobody has yet to come up with a clear legit answer for an upgrade shows that it just isn’t as simple as...” fire him now!! That will make us better!!!
You know what is truly silly? The concept of firing him without having a viable replacement will improve the team.
You know what is silly is all the bitching about NO not having a plan, but those who want him fired.... have no plan.
Get the fuck out of here with that nonsense. :)

You left one thing out - what players are actually on the market. With a few obvious exceptions (EG Leonard), GMs don't share that info with anyone but each other.

As for getting the fuck out of here.....I was chased out of here 2 years ago for daring to suggest the Blazer roster needed changes. Nostalgia brought me back, but I guess nothing has changed.

When the team relocates to Seattle, it'll be a second-tier team.

You are soooo lost on my point. You just made my pointin your own post. I highlighted it for you.
You do the same thing so often in so many posts, I’ve probably skipped over the few posts you have made that actually provided a viable solution.

You say you don’t need to repost over and over but that is exactly what you do.

This whole things is obviously flying way over your head.
I’m done with this convo now and will move on to some adult convo instead of repeated temper tantrums.

Kevin Pritchard has got to be having a good laugh over this Blazers team though.

Then don’t take things sooo serious. Wow. I smiled when I said get the fuck out of here.

Secondly it’s not about who is available in closed rooms. If the money doesn’t work then it doesn’t work. The trade machine gets used all the time. Show me a realistic trade scenario where the finances work and you think could happen in which both teams feel they benefit and the player we get makes us a contender?

Good ridence... don’t care to conversation with a Neil apologist

Also. You said my opinion was silly but I can’t say get the fuck out of here????

Lmao. Well I apologize for not knowing where your line is I shouldn’t cross when you initiate a conversation with me claiming my post is silly. Lol.
If you can’t take the heat, stay out of the kitchen my friend.

ok, let me explain to you again: team failed miserably, getting swept. Neil basically attacks fans at exit interview saying we should be greatful. No flexibility because he overpaid scrubs. He refuses to trade CJ which is the only asset with value to change team. I expect effort as a fan, not just accept it because it is what it is. There was no accountability after sweep... coach, GM kept jobs... CJ still here... gets rid of Ed instead... what more do you need

I'm disappointed Sly, I thought you were better then that.

So far you might have the best moniker I’ve seen to represent the poster. :)

Disclaimer: this is a light hearted joke for those with a sense of humor. Someone with a moniker calling themself a grouch I would hope has such a humor bone.

We can only pretty much build through the draft. We need to value our draft picks way more than other teams. We also have a clock on our draft picks because they can leave in free agency after their rookie contracts. We have a very small window to be good but if we ever manage to win a championship again it will mean way more than that of other teams who have mvps show up at their doorstep.

Most intelligent people don’t go around over and over yelling and screaming we need change without having some sort of idea of what that change should be. Be smarter than this. Come up with an idea. Provide a potential solution.
Sorry, Orion, but I have to disagree with you. NBA general managers get paid a lot of money to do nothing except think about basketball. It’s their job to make the team better, not ours. We don’t talk to other GMs on a daily basis, and we don’t know the intricacies of the salary cap, etc. All that stuff is on them. Most of the trades the Blazers have made in their history have taken me by surprise, simply because I didn’t know such-and-such a player was available, or that his team had to let go off him for financial reasons, etc., etc. It’s not the job of the average fan to come up with a great trade, a great draft, or a great free-agent signing. That’s the GM’s job.

But, then we don't have enough information to evaluate his performance either. However, that hasn't stopped people from doing just that.

I used to have a sense of humor. Of course, back in the old days you and I always got along. OTOH, many of the people who told me I was no longer welcome here were folks I thought I got along with - so I am a poor judge.
