You know the interesting thing is, I’m thinking you don’t watch any other teams broadcasts, EVER. Because I’ve thought of this complaint in the past year…..EVERY fucking NBA director cuts to handhelds or Robocams above the rim 10 times a game at least on a fast break. On our broadcasts in Tokyo for 3 weeks, almost every fast break was cut that way as well.
Not sure why that bugs guys here. It is funny to me that you think this is a Blazers thing though. TNT directors LOVE doing that.
My attempt to troll you succeeded better than I had expected!
You’re right, I don’t watch other team’s broadcasts EVER. For one, I only watch through Fubo TV because it’s what’s available to me and I don’t want NBA League Pass because I’ve noticed that I’m largely a Blazer fan more so than an NBA fan at this point in my life. I check the stats and follow how rookies do, but I will rarely sit through a non Blazer game. Growing up and having a family have changed my priorities over time.
That being said, I personally don’t like the camera changes because it takes away from seeing how the play develops and getting clear views of where players take off from on fast breaks. It’s my own personal preference and if I had it my way, I wouldn’t do it. You obviously know more about the business and what the trends are. If that’s what people generally like and the producers are more in tuned with the general population, then have at it. I don’t always need to get what I want and I’m okay with it. I enjoy the broadcast of the games and what you do. But if I HAD to nitpick…
