What will it take for Chauncey to get fired?

Jusuf Nurkic in the high post (Free Throw line, Elbow area not the top of the key) was hardly ever used by Terry. I would argue that Nurk was hardly ever used correctly by Stotts and he succeeded despite Terry's coaching.

We were up double digits in each of those GSW games and Terry did not adjust to their defensive scheme in the 2nd half. At all.
Still trying to find the “#FireStotts….ANYBODY is better” crew around here. Don’t hear from them much…..unless they are the #FireBillups crew now?

Nah. I'm in the Fire Billups if Stotts will come back crew.

I think there's a difference between 'fire stotts!' and 'get a new guy in, it's getting stale', no?

I preferred having Stotts over anything since he was let go. I don't generally approve of change for the sake of change (if you're competitive). It was a bad move when we did it with Adelman as well.

We shouldn't have moved on from either unless we were pretty sure we had a better coach in line.

I thought I was the only Terry Stotts fan on the board. Never wanted to fire him and would love him back....guys had career years under Terry that didn't follow them to their next team more often than not. The Wes team was top 10 in defense. Terry would have smoked Chauncey's record over the last 3 seasons and Dame would probably still be our franchise player. We traded Rick Adelman for Mo Cheeks in my view. Fire Stotts went on for his whole tenure here which I never understood but hey....those folks got their way. Bucks should have made him their head coach...they blew it as well in my view. Terry did a lot with less than most franchises. Olshey fired him to save his own job. As it stands, I hope Chauncey can learn to be a top coach...so far he's got a really bad track record.

Making the playoffs every year is never “stale” As we are currently seeing FAMS. The dudes on here that would babble that bullshit about “I’d rather tear it down and start over than not getting out of the first round” Well we are currently seeing that as well FAMS! Hope they are enjoying it.

I watched Billups coaching Rupert last night on the sidelines. He still has the team listening. He is still working to make players better.
I'm not done with Chauncey yet. We may see a very good team here with him as coach. He certainly has Scoot and Ayton working pretty well together.

I think we’re oversimplifying that moment in time a bit here. And I say that as someone who wasn’t a huge fan of the Chauncey pick.

Like Unseld and Clifford this yr, i am fully anticipating Chauncey to transition to a front office role this summer. Don't think he's ready to coach yet.

He was previously in contention for the Cavs' GM job before withdrawing. Think he has some level of interest in that capacity.

I actually like his vision and big picture ideas, but he has done a very shitty job of implementing it on the floor. And we have seen little if any improvement on the details in coaching.

I don’t share “inside” info here, for a reason……..but here is a nugget for you dorks……

BILLUPS is NOWHERE near losing this team and locker room. THAT I can promise you.

I figure he should get ( at least some of the) credit for Banton's progress. Perhaps BOS was just not spending enough time on him? And understandably so, they are, after all, a fave to take the whole shebang. Plenty of teams are probably thinking Banton is a solid player with exceptional length and mobility. Drives to the rim well and shoots pretty nice too.

3 years and pretty much 3 totally different rosters while being told to sit his best players.
Not sure how there could be any improvement at this point?

Any take on Billups ability to coach seems vague at best.

So now I’m the Dork…. I got some inside info my friend. She doesn’t call me the dork.

Billups gets no more credit for Banton’s “progress”, than he does blame for Scoot’s LACK of it.

This isn’t a “team: FAMS….this is a collection of G-Leaguers and injured vets.
Good preparation for Chauncey's career as a G-League coach. (And I guess we know what you really think of Scoot...)

Wonder if we had hired an experienced coach like Doc, Rivers, and Chauncey was coaching the bucks right now, wonder what would the records be? Do you think Billups would have a better record?

I think Billups would do as well as Doc.

I have a feeling that if our "injured vets" were on teams making playoff runs they wouldn't be so "injured".
