there are no riots in Albuquerque, and there's been almost no destruction of property. There is no reason at all to surge troops there, but that's what is happening

I haven't seen any news about riots or destruction in Seattle for a couple of weeks. Nobody there thinks a surge of federal goons is needed...at all. But that's happening too

I think it's pretty clear that if Portland was just having protests, without the graffiti and setting fires to plywood, the troops would still be out there and they'd be gassing the peaceful protests

it's a lie that these troop surges are to protect federal property. This is a trump re-election stunt, pure and simple. The goal is provocation...that's obvious, and it's coordinated with fox news and right wing media

I'm physically unable to get there or I would. I would show up with my Army hat and medals supporting BLM. However, I will not shut up. Dear God, I wish I could be there even for a short time. Would I riot? No way, I'm not the violent type but I'd protest my heart out. Gotta get up extremely early to go to dialysis so can't stay up late. Also,lately I'm experiencing extreme dizziness and some black outs due to extremely low blood pressure. My wife had had to break my fall a few times but is unable to prevent my falls. It's pretty bad.
I'll always regret not demonstrating against the Vietnam war and demonstrating for the right for 18 year olds to vote, I was unable to vote until I was 21 in spite of being in combat in the Army with people wanting to kill me.

ABM, we have a nice car that accommodates my wheel chair. My wife just needs help loading and unloading it. She weighs 120 lbs soaking wet and the wheel chair is heavy. We bought a step ladder yesterday so I could change light bulbs. Our two step step stool is too short and I can't make it to the top because I know I would fall to the floor and get badly hurt. Well, it took my wife several minutes and all her strenght (she's in her 70s to load it in our brand new very expensive car. I heard her grunting for some minutes trying to get it out of my Costco electric wheel chair and into our car. Then, the poor woman had to get it out of the car and into our house where it will remain never to get dirty from outside use.

I can make it a few feet with the cane in one hand on my wife on the other arm but if I get dizzy like what happens when I cough, I've got to drop the cane and grab a hold of something with my free arm.

The good news is that they have been worried about my heart at the VA hospital for some time now so they did an echo cardiogram and found no chznge since my last echo cardiogram. And today is the last day I'll be wearing my 14 day heart monitor so I'll be able to wash my front and my hair as well as get a clean shave in the shower. This all happens at 7 pm tonight, yippee.

We know that not all people are physically able to attend. I know you Lanny. I know why you are not able to come down, and I know that you would if you could. MY fellow republicans are quick to say get the violent protestors out, but they are protesting in part because of the allowance of racism and oppression. So as a republican, I frown on any who say weed out the violent protestors without simultaneously not saying to wee out the violent racists.

Both sides need to start holding their own accountable in my opinion. Then respect for one another will begin and with respect, progress and improvement will follow, because with respect comes working together. without that respect no one will work together and it will just be a stand off for eternity.
