Who is Neil going to trade for

Slim pickin's. Kidd-Gilchrist would be about the only one here that tempts me, but we already have Turner playing that "non-shooting wing" role.

Holy crap! I had no idea MIN was still paying Pekovic. He hasn't played a game for them in almost two and a half years and they still owe him another $11.6 million for next season. The last 12 games he played for them in 2015-16 cost them over $35 million.

You're reading that wrong. The $11.6 was this last season. Besides that he was medically retired so they didn't have to pay him.

Eric Gordan works. If Houston is serious about LeBron, cap space is needed. Paul is up for new contract, and I believe Capella is due soon as well. They have to clear space.

Oh maybe not. His salary is 500 grand too much right expert cappers?

I may be wrong (not unusual with respect to CBA matters), but I think it could be done under this year's salary, which would require the trade to happen before the end of June.

Eric Gordon is the perfect player to acquire with the TPE... allows Blazers to trade CJ without skipping a beat at SG and upgrade at SF or PF

If we could get 14 and Faried for just our
TPE, wet have to do it. Then fine a way to move up to 10ish.

I think NYK would take Faried over Lee. They have nothing at PF with Porzingas hurt. Plus, the get out of Lee's contract a year earlier. Maybe throw in a 2nd, and keep 24.

#14 and #24. Trade Aminu to a 3rd team, take back Bayless and #10 from Philadelphia while trading #14 back. Maybe get #26 as well.

#10, #24, #26.

Nobody's taking Anderson. They can't land LeBron.
What if we took him in exchange for Turner; that would save them about 3.5 million. Then we take Nene for our 3.5 million TPE. Then they trade us Eric Gordon for the large TPE. They save about $20 million. We get Eric Gordon and maybe get a draft pick? They maybe have room for LeBron then.

Only help someone else land Lebron if it makes you a lot better...

I like Gordon and think he would make us a lot better. Those three guards in the lineup were the strength of Houston.
I think he makes Portland Better but I’m not sure how much, especially since we’d be prepping Houston to put Harden, CP3 and Lebron together.

Why the hell should we help the Rockets get LeBron? C'mon man!

This is just silly.

Eric Gordon is NOT a starting SG. Plus he'll be injured. He can't play those minutes and stay healthy.

I think people who think LeBron even wants to go to Houston are fooling themselves.

How oh how can we escape this predicament.

1. Get a GM who is skilled at trading, and finding underrated bargains already in the league.
or
2. Olshey stops overrating McCollum, and trades him for 2 good players.
Like who? And why would they take the job?

I'd try to move heaven and earth: Trade Picks + anyone on our team (Except Dame & Collins) for an unhappy Kawhi Leonard. He is one of the few guys in the league who would be able to defend Durant.
