Because of Will?

I said that I would consider trading him because I think he's streaky. It had nothing to do with Will. I think I suggested trading him, moving Nic to shooting guard, and then signing Deng.

Exactly. No one that I can recall said to trade Wes and start Will. We all know Will is a 6th man at best. That Blazers tweet was bullshit.

To recap: the thread in question was the idea that Will might take over the 6th man role next year from Mo, not the starting spot from Wes. Jeez, Blazers employees reading comprehension problems, much?

This won't be the last thread in the next two months about trading Wes. I think we all like him, but trade questions are about the only topic a Blazer message board will have to discuss in May and June without a first round draft pick. And I am afraid the SG position is the most likely starting spot we can argue that can be upgraded.

Personally i fall into the keep him category. I don't think we would get the necessary value in a trade that is needed to take the next step. Although he does not attack the basket as well as I would like from our SG, he does do other things very well. To me it make sense to keep him and add or developed another SG to add to the mix. Wes was not even drafted, so it is possible to find one without a trade.

I do think Will is a good compliment. He attacks the basket well. CJ is the wild card. I expect him to improve drastically his second year with a full training camp. If another team makes a unbelievable offer for Wes (Or Nic or Robin) we take it. But I doubt that kind of offer will occur.
