I was reading what Blazer Caravan had to say about Bonzi spitting in the fans' chalupas (or whatever) and it prompted this question. There may be worse out there, but I'm thinking Bonzi and Isaiah (J.R.) would have to lead this list.

What say you?

I don't think he was AS hated, but Felton deserves an honorable mention. At least Bonzi and JR were decent players. Felton was trash on and off the court.

Ruben Patterson

Damon Stoudamire. He had it all:
Shitty player: Shoot first PG on a loaded offensive team, bad post entry passer, terrible defender, terrible size, terrible finisher, lost most of his speed around 2002....pretty much bad at everything except no-risk passes and perimeter shooting.
Shitty contracts: We paid him over $80m over his career here, and it forever hamstrung us from trading him for something useful.
Shitty attitude: Seemed to have this weird special relationship with Quick that he used to constantly whine about how unappreciated he was.
Shitty drama: I don't really care about off-court stuff, but the whole thing about the crawl space, the airport security and the yellow hummer were just a trifecta of pothead stupidity that contributed to all the bad PR that cast a marketing pall over the franchise in the early 2000's.
Shitty timing: Why did he have to come along during that glorious window between 1998 and 2002? So many talented, awesome guys in that era. Pippen. Sabas. Sheed. Smitty. Brian Grant. Young Bonzi. If you could swap him out with even just a competent no-drama PG (I'm thinking a young Derek Fisher or Steve Blake) it might have been all the difference in winning it all.
It just...never....ended. We had that asshole for 7 long years. I hated him every one of them.

I will always hate Damon Stoudamire. There have been more obnoxious guys. Rider was a douche. There were more vastly overpaid guys like Kemp. There were guys who really let me down like Miles. Stoudamire just had this overall package of shittiness, though, that I hope we never see again.

Darius Miles just for his apathetic attitude towards everything.

Was it Quick or Canzano who used to watch Damon pee? Weirdest series of sports articles ever.

An entitled, massively overpaid, meathead. The worst finisher, defender, and attitude in Blazer history. There are so many lowlights that exemplify what an embarrassing me-first douchebag he was I won't pick at that scab to save us the pain. Just an albatross on the franchise & community throughout his PDX days.

Worst Blazer ever

STOMP

and who could forget him complaining about Greg Anthony finishing the end of games DURING THE MOTHERFUCKING PLAYOFFS? What a fucking dickweed. The only Blazer I've ever hated.

Tell me how you really feel? Lol

Fuck. I hated that. I also remember him bitching about Scottie Pippen eventually taking away his PG duties (about 2 years too late, IMO). Dude never stopped whining and bitching.

What really eats me up is how under-appreciated his awfulness was by the average fan. Sure, Sheed and JR and Bonzi and Z-bo and Ruben would get the limelight Jailblazer episodic headline, but in terms of day-to-day grinding incompetence and crappiness, he just sort of blended into the background. "Yeah, he kind of sucked last night and Fisher lit him up for 20. But did you hear what Bonzi said?" ARGGGGH! 7 long years of that.

He was the decay that made Telfair seem acceptable enough to pass on Chris Paul. Sabonis and Pippen wasted the final years of their storied careers with him as the "leader" of the team. A 15.0 PER (and completely negative intangibles) barely-starter with a 25 PER ego and paycheck.

For 7 years. It wasn't like you could say, "Yeah, he was a douche. But the next year we traded him for..." No, year after year after year of this soul-crushing awful. One GM wished he could trade him for a folding chair, and I was right there with him. Because you can put a chair in a closet and pretend the chair never happened.

Fuck him.

It's a tie between Sidney Wicks (ball hog extraordinaire) and Rasheed Wallace (technicals/apathy/Jailblazer posterchild).

Harvey Grant. He talked big in his news conference and then promptly sucked.

This reminder of Damon is an eye opener. I must have had counseling to wipe it from my memory. I forgot how much I hated this whining bitch!

I guess i'm too young to remember people hating Damon like this.

Darius Miles, Raymond Felton, Rasheed Wallace, Damon Stoudemire, Darius Miles, Nick Van Exel, Raymond Felton, Bonzi Wells, Quintel Woods, Darius Miles, Raymond Felton, Derek Anderson, Raymond Felton, and Darius Miles.

Oh, and did I mention Darius Miles and Raymond Felton?

I wanted to build a tunnel of airport metal detectors, and I wanted fans to line the freeway on-ramp waving metal-detecting wands as Damon FINALLY left town.

IDK, I kinda liked Damon. His whole mighty mouse thing was really appealing to me. Then again, AI was my most fav player growing up, so I'm kinda not qualified to answer this.

His tenure was short, but I absolutely HATED Jeff McCinnins. Loved it when we initially traded him for DMiles.

Damon for sure. As for current players, I would say lma gets the most hate around these parts

Didn't Damon always get the loudest cheers in the intros?

Yeah, these guys.
