Interestingly, just like Alvin Williams, his stats fell off a cliff in his late 20's.

Why Batum in particular? I don't remember a reason for a particular beef between those two, so remind me.
All I know is Crawchuck completely froze Batum out of the offense. He wouldn't pass the ball to Nico if you gave him a $100 bill and a free hooker.

Exactly; that was what I was referring to.

I can hardly praise a person for writing sexist crap on a coach's car!

I find your assumption a bit off base. How do you know Bonzi isn't a cat lover and was merely making a suggestion to Coach Fratello about companionship?

Regarding that Golden State incident where Chris Mills had some of his buddies try to stop our bus, word was that Stacey Augmon played a role in settling it. He evidently had some pretty serious gang connections growing up in So Cal. He made a phone call from inside the bus. A moment later a phone call was made to a member of Chris Mills' posse, and they cleared out.

Maybe Bonzi likes pussy (I know I do) and was simply expressing his admiration?

Most disrespected was Rudy Fernandez. Sure he's a whiny Eurobitch, but that doesn't justify the the level of abuse he was given. If Brandon retires a year sooner, Miller, Fernandez, and maybe Camby are all still Blazers, and we're an exciting team with a no-doubt-about-it All-Star PF who leads the league in alley-oop dunks by a wide margin.

Rudy was never the same after Odom injured him. He was amazing his rookie year and regarded far higher by blazer fans than Batum. He just never was the same player after that injury and even now in Europe he is good but not close to as effective as he was before coming into the NBA.

Rudy had plenty of chances to prove himself, he started at SG in the playoff series against Phoenix when Roy had surgery and laid a huge egg. He had chances later and had nice moments as a reserve but he wasn't happy with that role here or on other teams. Too bad, he was one of my favorite rookie Blazers I've ever cheered for.

That was Trevor Ariza, IIRC. But, yeah.

Ah yes thats right, so many punks on those Lakers teams with Odom, Ariza, Bynum and Metta.
Don't forget Rick Fox. Where's that clip of Fox getting punched by Doug Christie? I could use something to brighten my day.

Wow so this thread is over 4 months old. Just realized that. Always great when your behind the times and have no clue, haha.

Ahh. That's better.

Didn't Fox, like, cheat on his former Miss America wife with some skank in Hawaii while the team was holding Fall camp there?

oh shit we diggin in the crates!

so much hate on my boy Damon. feelsbadman.

For me, updated:

1. LaMarcus Aldridge
2. Damon Stoudamire
3. Darius Miles

Yeah, my hate for Damon has receded a little. His game in the modern era would probably be a lot more valuable. Besides, it's hard to continue viscerally hating someone who is so far removed from the team. Aldridge is on the top of my winner board for losers.

I don't really have a lot of hard feelings for Miles. Yeah he was overpaid and he couldn't shoot. But he was in an era when we just didn't have a lot of talent. Not his fault. On the current team he'd be fine as a bench player. In fact, he's pretty much Mo Harkless.

Damn maybe I'm too young but I had no idea Damon was hated like that.

He was rookie of the year and had solid numbers during his prime years. I mean we almost won a title with him.

But again I might be to young to remember the hate but I'm 28 now and don't remember the criticism was like this.

I've never seen a player put less effort than Miles did when he checked out mentally from the team. It was a fucking disgrace. Plus he'd show up to practice smelling like Vodka, you could tell he was just mailing it in. Just played like he was stoned and didn't give a fuck after a while.

I still don't like Damon, its just Aldridge overtook him.

Im 29 and I remember me and my buddy going outside after he missed free throws against the jazz to blow a big game and we kept saying "and now at the line daemon stoudamire" then we would chuck the ball at the rim as hard as we could.

What up with the sheed hate? Dude hated refs for same reasons we do now and wasnt afraid to call them on their bullshit. We need more guys like that around the league.

Darius Miles, Raymond Felton, Rasheed Wallace, Damon Stoudemire, Darius Miles, Nick Van Exel, Raymond Felton, Bonzi Wells, Quintel Woods, Darius Miles, Raymond Felton, Derek Anderson, Raymond Felton, and Darius Miles.

Oh, and did I mention Darius Miles and Raymond Felton?

What's your trip with Nick The Quick?

It feels really good to see how many posters here realized what a plague on the Blazers Damon Stoudamire was for so many years; I had always thought that I was one of a few who believed that. I don't think I ever really hated him though, more like a burning resentment against the GM who brought him here and signed him to a huge contract (and never replaced him) and any other GM's who didn't get rid of him (although who would take such an under-performer on the massive contract?)

I blame PetterNash for giving him that stupid contract. Miles had effort and work ethic concerns his whole career, was discarded for Jeff McInnis. Miles just did what he always did. We had the dumb management that thought paying him $50 million would change him.

Then we gave ZBo the max when we could've just waited a year until he was a restricted free agent. It would be like paying Meyers the max last summer. Then we gave Theo Ratliff $10+million per year. All contracts were ridiculously stupid because at that point we were a lottery team.

Just to repeat myself: The Blazers player I've hated the most was $amon. Period. In the modern era, I hated Crawchuck in a similar but lesser way, and couldn't wait for No Mo to Go (And free CJ).
