You know, I almost want Trump to get reelected just to watch the complete and total meltdown that some will have.

I will throw a huge rager. Your all invited.

Except Calvin Natt. Calvin wont be invited, because he will be the prime subject of observation.

The chances of Trump being reelected are virtually zero. I'll bet my $1,000 to your $100. There, now them's some good odds for Trump lovers and some good folding money for me.

Oh i'm no trump lover and I fully feel he will lose, but the hate some spew is worse than the hate Trump spews and the blind hatred some have for anyone who doesn't hate Trump is sooo ridiculous, it makes me want to See Trump get reelected, just so I can watch these hateful people completely melt down.

"I hate you..."

"Why?"

"Because you support Trump."

"No I don't."

"But you don't hate him."

"Right, I don't hate anyone."

"Your part of the problem. You dont hate Trump!!!"

Its a very real sign of society going completely crazy red with hatred.

If you want to wreck the country in order to own the libs....

...you may be a person incapable of rational prioritization.

See that little word in that sentence yo seemed to skip that says almost?

The incapability of rational prioritization is anyone who hates and uses that as their go to, to defend why they want something done.

Sorry. You lose. :)

I saw what you wrote. So my comment wasn't aimed at you, obviously. You need to stop being such an egotist. Not everything is about you.

Most things are about you, I'll admit. But not everything.

Oh no. you clearly revolve around me along with the rest of the universe.

You can't get more hateful than Trump. Oh, I suppose Hitler was pretty hateful and I can see where Jews might hate him in return. Could this analogy apply|?

Are those actual quotes? Did someone here actually say I hate you because you support Trump?

Come on man. Trump isn't lining people up outside an incinerator. To say that,is letting one's hatred blind them to the reality that Trump is just a bad president. Hitler slaughtered or tried to eliminate races!!!

So no your analogy doesn't apply, unless your already blinded by Trump hate, of which you have just proved my point.

Of course not, or I would have just quoted the posts. But this is by and large the common theme here. Its undeniable. Its the vibe of the forum. Have you read some of Calvin Natts posts? Illmatics? Your own?

There is a common theme on this site that if you don't hate Trump your part of the problem.

Come on man. Trump isn't lining people up outside an incinerator.

Trump can't do that even if he wanted, due to the system we have in the US. Recent revelations that he told President Xi that he was doing the right thing putting Uighurs in concentration camps makes it extremely plausible that if Trump were a dictator who could do anything he wanted, he might do some pretty horrific things.

I still wouldn't call him Hitler, but I think he's on that spectrum of "authoritarian, likely violent" tendencies.

meh. He is all hot air.
That some people hang on all of his words as gospel cracks me up

didnt he threaten martial law twice in the last couple weeks? howd that go?

what people say and what they do are often very different things.

The problem is he can't do a lot of those things, he doesn't have the power--so we don't know if he's just "all talk and no action" or if he's "would do the action, but isn't able to."

Let's remember, he tear gassed peaceful protestors in order to move them so he could do a photo op. He's not all "hot air."

So lets dissect the photo op. ( the bible and the church and lafayette park right? )
First, im by no means condoning any portion of anything.

However is there evidence that Trump himself said, use gas? Or did he say clear the park and then the officers did what thye did?

It may seem like symantics, but to me they are different. From what I know(which isnt much) he asked local law to clear path. Im not sure he said gas them to move?

NO second, and Ill be suprised if anyone disagrees with me, but based on Trumps talk, Do you think he cares about if its right or legal or not and if he wants it done, he will try regardless?

Im pretty sure most peopel feel as such. So if thats the case, what stopped him for trying to impose martial law? Or was it never going to be and it was just hot air?

Do you think if he wanted to round up black people and execute them in the Rose Garden, he'd be able to and then the courts would weigh in later? He can do things that are grey areas and let the courts decide later, but things that are flagrantly illegal, the people around wouldn't do. So no, he doesn't have ultimate power--he has the power to interpret existing laws, not make them up himself.

Well of course he wouldn't be able to complete it, but i'm thinking he might very well attempt to start trying if that's truly what he wanted.

But I've heard many people say he just makes things up. SO why wouldn't he just make them up himself? People have already accused him of just this... possibly legitimately.

Again, he needs people to actually do the things. The machinery of government is not set up to allow one guy to kill whomever he wants or inter whomever he wants. He couldn't actually do "mad king" stuff even if he wanted to.

I feel like we're getting a bit into the weeds here--I'm not saying he's literally Hitler, just prevented from putting people in ovens. What I am saying is that there are enough hints as to his personality that it wouldn't be shocking, IMO, that if he were the leader of a nation in which he could do whatever he wanted, he'd actually commit what we'd view as atrocities. I'm not saying he definitely would, just that I don't think, in that alternate universe, it would be huge shock.

I dont disagree. He shows the immature selfish egotistical mentality that could certainly be capable.

But until he does, I cant call him Hitler or the like. I can only call him a shitty president.

But I do disagree on the, he cant do certain things...All it takes is a couple of kiss ass generals with their heads up his ass drinking his koolaid.

But, yeah we are kinda debating for the sake of debating at this point. :)

Speaking of weed.. im now off the clock, heading home for some of my own! :)

He's killed 100,000 Americans needlessly and installed a Supreme Court that doesn't follow the Constitution so yeah, I can see where he's a horrifically evil person. I gonna stick with my analogy.
Blinded by Trump hate? I wouldn't say that. I'd call it more of a real eye opener.

stick to the facts please or the convo will go nowhere.

He did not Systematically aNd purposefully slaughter 100,000 people and if you do think that then every leader of every country who has had a death due to covid is a murderer.

get your feels out of the convo. Your first statement was pure opinion, based on Trump hate.

Those are the facts. It's been stated that the death toll was about 85% higher than it would otherwise been because of Trump's blundering. One only has to look at other countries and their death tolls per Million residents and then compare that to our highest in the world rate.
Also, I never said he did it purposely, it's more like manslaughter where he closed his eyes to what would happened and then preferred to try and pad his numbers especially with respect to the economy not having enough God given brains to know how many extra Americans he would kill. He just didn't care to know what would happen. And then he had the gall to lie about it and desperately try and cover it up by blaming anyone else that he could.

It was stated in here and a link was provided. It would take me half an hour to find it on the web. Maybe someone else in here recalls it.

Gotta lay the groundwork

At least one highly dedicated Wikipedia user has been scrubbing controversial aspects of Harris’s “tough-on-crime” record from her Wikipedia page, her decision not to prosecute Steve Mnuchin for mortgage fraud-related crimes, her strong support of prosecutors in Orange County who engaged in rampant misconduct, and other tidbits — such as her previous assertion that “it is not progressive to be soft on crime” — that could prove unflattering to Harris as the public first gets to know her on the national stage. The edits, according to the page history, have elicited strong pushback from Wikipedia’s volunteer editor brigade, and have drawn the page into controversy, though it’s a fight the pro-Harris editor is currently winning.

The piece continues that on June 11, the Wikipedia user removed this section about the Orange County scandal, saying that they were proofreading for length:

Later that year, Harris appealed a judge’s order to take over the prosecution of a high-profile mass murder case and to eject all 250 prosecutors from the Orange County District Attorney’s office over allegations of misconduct by Republican D.A. Tony Rackauckas. Rackauckas was alleged to have illegally employed jailhouse informants and concealed evidence. Harris noted that it was unnecessary to ban all 250 prosecutors from working on the case, as only a few had been directly involved, later promising a narrower criminal investigation. The U.S. Department of Justice began an investigation into Rackauckas in December 2016, but he was not re-elected.

The Intercept also talks about how Harris’s first bid for public office running for San Francisco DA, where she lambasted her opponent, Terence Hallinan, for not being tough enough on crime:

In her first bid for public office, Harris embraced a “tough-on-crime” approach in the San Francisco district attorney race and unseated Terence Hallinan, who was considered one of the “most left-wing politicians in the country.” Under Hallinan, the district attorney’s office focused on rehabilitative justice initiatives instead of incarceration, which led to the lowest felony conviction rates of any county in California.

While campaigning in the Mission District, SF Weekly reported at the time, Harris slammed Hallinan for failing to prosecute anti-war protesters for property destruction. “It is not progressive to be soft on crime,” she said.

On June 8, the Wikipedia user removed this quote from the page, saying that the changes made were “minor edits for length.”

I've noticed every time the Senate Democrats need a spokesperson it's been Kamala Harris, not Chuck Schumer, the minority leader. It's beginning to look like she is the pick and is being given max air time. I had her for attorney general, but suppose Adam Schiff could do the job (and give Trump apoplexy).

Speaking of apoplexy, Elizabeth Warren as Secretary of the Treasury would sure send chills down some capitalist spines.
