She's not the top of of ticket, though. Kind of a cheap way for the first female president to not be elected into her position.
There is always reelection

IMHO the suburban traditional swing voters are already energized to vote if not for the democrat then against the president.Swing voters. People in the middle of the aisle.

i have stated my opinion before that uncle joe will only run and serve a single term and the sitting VP becomes the presumptive democratic candidate in 2024.There is always reelection

My thought too. Just fucking with El Prez
Perhaps. People in the suburbs enjoy safe suburbs though. They see the violence by the left and that's probably a turn off. Suburban people actually like the police, because they want them to keep the riff raff in check.
I mean, there's no one who's actually excited for Biden. No one expects him to finish out his term and he's a placeholder for his VP.
traditional black churches, of similar numbers of voters to the white evangelical churches on the right seem to be suitably enthused. it is often underestimated the power of the pulpit in the black baptist coalition of churches.
So you admit he's just a useless placeholder.
Progressives are divided about Kamala Harris’s candidacy, with some criminal-justice reformers who started off skeptical warming to her. For example, Shaun King told BuzzFeed News, “I was a little slow to trust her as a reformer on criminal justice, but I think she’s proven herself to me. I think she’s become one of the better spokespersons for really serious criminal-justice reform in the Democratic Party.”
I don’t doubt that Harris will continue to champion prudent criminal-justice reforms, whether she continues in the Senate or becomes president. But speaking and even voting for sound criminal-justice policies and being a trustworthy overseer of a sprawling criminal-justice bureaucracy are very different things.
I can forgive a politician a vote on a crime bill that looks ill-conceived two decades later, or a too-slow evolution toward marijuana legalization, or even a principled belief in the death penalty, something I adamantly oppose. I find it far harder to forgive fighting to keep a man in jail in the face of strong evidence of innocence, running a team of prosecutors that withholds potentially exculpatory evidence from defense attorneys, and utterly failing as the state’s top prosecutor to rein in glaringly corrupt district attorneys and law enforcement.
At best, Harris displayed a pattern of striking ignorance about scandalous misconduct in hierarchies that she oversaw. And she is now asking the public to place her atop a bigger, more complicated, more powerful hierarchy, where abuses and unaccountable officials would do even more to subvert liberty and justice for all.
biden has already promised the first supreme court appointment of his administration to be a liberal black women. it was this "deal with the devil" many on the right signed up for and voted in last presidential election. i expect the culture wars to continue unfortunately. Is Kamala Harris black enough though?
Did you read the whole thing?
Even those who have qualms about her will vote for her and Joe when it comes down to it.

This person will, but will Black Lives Matter types go out and vote for an old white man and a former prosecutor with a spotty record?
Over Trump, yes! They will line up and stay as long as they have to do it.
No I admit he is old. He will be 81-82 when his term ends. He won't run again.
He's barely running now.
Faster than Trump. Did you see him "run" down that ramp
Is Kamala Harris black enough though?
Also, her record as DA isn't the one that most aligns with BLM?
What an ignorant post.
To put things in their proper context, at the time, when she was DA, exactly whose policies DID align with "BLM"?
The fact is that Kamala's term as DA ended in 2011...and the term "black lives matter" did not appear till 2013 with George Zimmerman's faux pas.
A close examination of Harris’s record shows it’s filled with contradictions. She pushed for programs that helped people find jobs instead of putting them in prison, but also fought to keep people in prison even after they were proved innocent. She refused to pursue the death penalty against a man who killed a police officer, but also defended California’s death penalty system in court. She implemented training programs to address police officers’ racial biases, but also resisted calls to get her office to investigate certain police shootings.
Time after time, when progressives urged her to embrace criminal justice reforms as a district attorney and then the state’s attorney general, Ms. Harris opposed them or stayed silent. Most troubling, Ms. Harris fought tooth and nail to uphold wrongful convictions that had been secured through official misconduct that included evidence tampering, false testimony and the suppression of crucial information by prosecutors.
Consider her record as San Francisco’s district attorney from 2004 to 2011. Ms. Harris was criticized in 2010 for withholding information about a police laboratory technician who had been accused of “intentionally sabotaging” her work and stealing drugs from the lab. After a memo surfaced showing that Ms. Harris’s deputies knew about the technician’s wrongdoing and recent conviction, but failed to alert defense lawyers, a judge condemned Ms. Harris’s indifference to the systemic violation of the defendants’ constitutional rights.
Ms. Harris contested the ruling by arguing that the judge, whose husband was a defense attorney and had spoken publicly about the importance of disclosing evidence, had a conflict of interest. Ms. Harris lost. More than 600 cases handled by the corrupt technician were dismissed.
The laws strengthening criminal penalties drove a surge in the state’s prison population over 30 years, beginning in the 1970s. Under both Republicans and Democrats — including Kamala Harris, who became a prosecutor in 1990 — a tough-on-crime political culture flourished in California, and African Americans were hit hardest: Their incarceration rate remains more than five times their share of California’s population.
The crackdown on crime swept most of the country, but California stood out as one of the most aggressive states. Only recently has it begun shedding its lock-'em-up mind-set.
These things will come out in the debates. Let Biden select her, and everything will be brought up. Antifa-leaning accounts paint her as a "cop".
You choose her, you're going to lose support of that faction of the political spectrum. Perhaps many of the BLM groups too when you bring up her actual record as a prosecutor or "top cop". She may say things now, but her record in office was different.

Go ahead, put your eggs in that basket though. Please.
lmao...boy, you really struggled to cover your tracks there...still a total fail.
I suppose you are wanting me to post some obscure links/references to counter your hand picked, copy and pasted links?
Sorry, not gonna waste my time...but hey, keep swinging.
Kamala Harris has a complicated record as California DA. At some points she assisted the police, at other times she was adversarial. The police union actually opposed at least one of her runs, so she can hardly be cast as a police darling.
Whether the hardest of hardcore BLM participants will vote for her, who knows. Whether they do or not won't swing the election. The vast majority of progressives and black lives advocates would both happily vote for her over essentially any Republican, because she's far likelier to advocate for positive criminal justice reform than any Republican, and also happily put pressure on her once she's in office. The revulsion for Trump is just an added bonus to motivation.
Like I said, go ahead and put your support behind her. I don't give a fuck! Gives more ammo because of her record on incarcerations.
Old White Guy and a prosecutor with a spotty record. Sounds like a recipe for disaster.
"Ammo" for what?...what are you talking about now?...do you even know? It surely doesn't seem so.
And you "don't give a fuck"?...it surely seems so.
It was much more of what we like to call a "thorazine shuffle than a sprint" ….entertaining though...hairspray has probably fucked up his inner ear equilibrium for good...along with the addling of his brainNope!
Ammo for the debates. Ammo for the political ads.
Trump's side isn't going to just lay over and take it no matter who your nominee is. Harris' record will be attacked hard if she's the VP nominee.
