El I hate Seattle fans as much as the next Portland guy, however is it that bad if a Portland product is shoved down their throats like they do to us with the Seahawks and Mariners. I think it is advantages for Blazers fans if their market is increased. PA may be a multi billionaire but he still wants to make money. They are not moving to Seattle. Nothing wrong with trying to grab some of their viewers. Vancouver Canada too.

At the expense of killing a huge part of the Franchise? I don't know about you, but before, the Blazers was more of a "family". They pushed their marketing shit. Rise Together. Whatever. All a bunch of bullshit. Their slogan should be "chase the mighty dollar".

I think Roy had a deep resentment for Portland, personally. He's still a "Seattle guy". Same with Jamal Crawford. There's a reason we don't see much about Roy and the franchise, he never really embraced the city. If the Blazers are going Seattle Centric, I can see him being involved as some sort of Seattle Ambassador or something.

If my boss came to me tomorrow and said we're going in a different direction and need to let you go, it would come as a shock, but then if they said, we'll continue to pay you your full salary for a year while you look for your next job, I'd be totally cool with it. It's not like they tossed these guys out on the street without any compensation. By letting them go now, they have the entire summer to line up their next gig before the 2016-17 season starts, and if that doesn't work, they still get paid in full until next June. We should all be so lucky.

How is it low class when they just re signed them for 3 years last year? And they have another year left on their deal to sit down and enjoy their families while getting paid.

Well, we'll just have to agree to disagree then. I thought they were an integral part of my Blazers game watching experience. Having been forced to watch other announcers feeds on League Pass, Mike and Mike were comfortable to me. They were like family.

Last game in LA in the playoffs, Mike Barrett came up into the fucking stands about 15 rows and took a pic with us.
