IMO I know exactly when it happened. Trump. Period. Bush, Reagan, sure you might not have liked them or their policies. And the wars. But it wasn’t like this. We never had so much rampant, widespread and blatant hatred and the entire QAnon aspect. Not close. It’s a cancer that is spreading and no one knows how to stop it. Eventually it’ll be too late.

Your timing is spot on. And that turd and his followers are the crux of the biscuit (as Zappa used to say). What really changed though and allowed these ideals to take off was the weaponization of the internet. I don't pretend to know everything, so I don't know who orchestrated this, but it certainly doesn't feel organic to me.

100%. It might sound like a cop out or something, but truly the internets unintended consequences has had a huuuge negative impact on so much.

Voters on the right are just moving to younger version of the same bullshit so they can make excuses. See, I didn't vote for Trump.

Certainly, DeSantis (in a way) used Trump's support to get on the political map. Nonetheless, I believe he has completely become his own man in his own right. That said, if he and Trump duke it out for the 2024 POTUS nomination, get your popcorn out. This will be a no-holds-barred brawl. I promise you that.

Yep. Now we just need Trump to make his own party and start running them for house and senate positions, while he runs for president.

Here's hoping that happens and Trump loses. Then he'll finish destroying the republican party.

Then Democrats will hopefully take advantage of it to do something right...
