Will we win another game in this series?

WEVE LOST ERIC

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I think losing this series is the best possible outcome for this team. It clears the way for Stotts to leave and hopefully some pretty significant trades to shake things up.

I'd say it's quite possible Denver pays the Blazers back and wins game 7, at home, this time

on the other hand, if a 4-1 loss lands both Olshey and Stotts in the unemployment line, I'm OK with that...kinda sorta. Still can't bring myself to favor Blazer losses

For me it's not really favoring it. I'm still sad/angry when we lose. But it's a silver lining that I keep telling myself to keep me sane.

I wish I had some of this optimism. Zero confidence. Only hope that I can see is lights out 3pt shooting. This offense does nothing else.

I think there's a lot of overreacting going on (rightfully so). However, when you remove the emotion from it and look and how this series has went down, I think there's reason for optimism.

Even in G1's 14 point road win, I thought Portland played C+ basketball. We have not played our best basketball yet.

It took Denver shooting 53% from downtown on 20 made attempts, Austin Rivers hitting step-back 3's at an insane clip, and Portland not being able to throw it in the ocean from distance for the Nuggets to win by FIVE. G3 was a Best Case scenario for Denver and Worst Case scenario for Portland.

Don't get me wrong, there's plenty not to like about how Portland is playing. We aren't starting games strong, esp. on the defensive end of the floor. We're falling in love with the trey. We're rushing shots. And we're not communicating on defense.

I think all of that likely catches up to Portland should they advance. But for this series? Against this Denver team? There's still a great chance they prevail.

Should this have been a quick Blazers series win? Absolutely. But this team loves making it harder for themselves than it has to be.

Blazers in SIX.

(and yes, even if Portland advance, a coaching change is absolutely necessary)

It sure seems like we lose our last 4 games of the playoffs every year or close to it.

that's because it's happened 4 years in a row. Before that it was three 1-4's in a row. If you're keeping track that's 4-28

Since stotts doesn’t make adjustments denver in 5. This team doesn’t have a bench. Jones jr and little getting no minutes and we need defense but hey lets play kanter...

What about winning the championship? Would that be a worse outcome?

4-28 sounds worse than it is. If you go to the playoffs every year and don’t win the title, you lose 4 games in the last series. So 28 losses is nothing unless you’ve been expecting a dynasty. 4 wins is upsetting though.

No idea. This team looked left for dead last year prior to the epidemic, then looked like entirely different in the bubble. Deja vu this year, comparing April to our final few weeks. Just when you think they're out....you know the rest. They'll probably lose game 4 and get down 3-1. Then improbably win games 5,6 to tie it up and coin flip on game 7. Why, because that's what this team does.

I had the Nuggets in 6, so I'll stick with that and say that we'll pull out a win tomorrow but if we do lose tomorrows game my prediction will go out the window because we've rolled over in elimination games so many times.

Keep in mind the Nuggets came back from a 3-1 deficit TWICE last season. Anything is possible.

That said, if we lose tomorrow it's over.
