I know you guys don’t care normally, but he really is a cool guy. I always rooted for him.

Eh. Kind of a weak point. That's been used to excuse people from doing a lot of really awful things. "Yeah, he's horrible to mostly everyone. But he's always good to me. I (therefore) like him."

Rasheed was not better than 10 of those guys. Fuck Sheed and his dumb fucking ref-baiting and T's

I just don't get people that fall all over themselves loving Rasheed Wallace. He was a good/very good player with immense talent whose play showed flashes but barely ever came close to the massive potential.

With all the raw ability he had, he shot less than 47% from the floor for his career, averaged 20 ppg once, never pulled more than 8.2 boards per game in a season, and you never knew what might send him on a tirade that made himself get tossed from the game. Yet, there still are some people here that think he was amazing.

If stats are all you go by then maybe he seems underwhelming, but using stats also means Russell Westbrook is one of the greatest of all time. You know, stat-wise.

We know stats don't tell the story is what I'm saying. During Sheed's most successful years he was surrounded by the kind of talent you don't see every day. And the refs tossing him from games were literally crooked and fixing games at the time, so I'd say there are extenuating circumstances.

I always liked Sheed though, so I'm biased.

Stats aren't the only thing I go by, but they reinforce what I saw. And I don't agree about the extenuating circumstances argument; were that true, he wouldn't be the poster child for Ts and ejections. And throwing the towel on Sabonis' face and acting petulant with the media just reinforces the kind of behavior that got him all the technicals. He couldn't control his emotions.

If it was just one of those things, but it isn't. It's all those things.

And I'm a Pennsylvania guy like Wallace. If anything, I'd want to see a guy from my home state leading my favorite team. I have to call it like I see it, though.

Sheed was the worst Blazer ever. For real. See, Game 7, WCF. Throwing a towel in Sabonis' face, CTC, etc. and the resulting breakup of that amazing team. We've never been the same. He did more to do long-term damage to the franchise than 100 Raymond Feltons.
Sheeeeed!!! Far from the worse blazer ever man imo

The NBA world as a whole seems to be very hyped about this young man. Generally optimistic and hopeful for him. I’d say it bodes well, because some of these people are quick to hate on anybody.

I’m definitely feeling great about the potential future of this team.

I actually think it’s kind of sick that China might sell more Blazer jerseys than L*kers jerseys in the next few years. I’d love to see it. Queue the Chinese rappers wearing Hansen Yang jerseys.
I mean yeah its fine for now. But he's going to have to produce on the court, if he struggles he's going to have way more scrutiny.

Sheed was certainly better than Porter, Buck, Kersey, Roy, Dame, Paxson, Gross, Wicks. The others have a good argument.

Walton, Clyde, Pippen are the only ones that were certainly better than Sheed.

Rasheed had the talent to possibly be the best Blazer ever if he didn't do the bonehead things he did. Even when discounting for his faults, he was an elite player on both sides of the ball.

Might depend if you enjoy watching chuckers that play no defense or well rounded two way players.

The problem with Sheed was that Portland was determined to make him the #1 option and Sheed doesn't want to be the #1 option. He was perfectly happy in Detroit where he was like... 4th option.
Sheed was always a glue guy

Why did Yang Hansen refuse to bring his girlfriend to watch his NBA Summer League debut?

that’s actually an interesting piece of info. Looks like he and his support crew (his mom) are serious about him making the most of his career. This points toward him being all business. We shall see.

That or it's just some AI aggregated or completely fake story. I assume any of these videos are fake.

Top 5: Drexler, Walton, Dame/Sheed, Aldridge.

In the last 30 years, we had our best chance to win when we had Rasheed. That’s why I liked Sheed. Not interested in stats and nor was Sheed.

Wallace may have had the potential to be great but never came anywhere near close to achieving it. So.....he had the potential to be better than the players you listed, he just never got there. He might have been "glue" for the team, but he was a cancer to the organization......
