Yang just doesn't look ready. He is definitely a project. Duop plays better than Yang right now.

Hope he gets some good experience with the remix.
not sure there is a C in the league that doesn't play better than Yang. Might be some who haven't played. I don't know a lot about the G-league. Is it like summer league where guards and ball-handlers dominate and C's like Yang are more spectators than participants? The tweet says Yang is being sent to the Remix for practices. I wonder if he'll be there long enough to play in any games..?

I noticed, Friday night, that Clingan had 15 rebounds in 24 minutes. So far this season, Yang has 4 rebounds in 29 minutes. Some people were suggesting that Yang should get plenty of minutes as a high post hub in Portland's offense...."to take advantage of his passing ability". So far, he has zero assists. He only has 3 turnovers but his turnover rate is the worst on the team. And yeah, I know....sample size

Yang does look like a project...like one of those projects that's 2 years away from being 1 year away. He's quite slow in movement and reaction time. Sure, some of that, maybe most of that, could be because he's overwhelmed with everything right now. But I don't believe adjustment will make him much faster. He is big, and that does count for something. But with Clingan averaging 26-28 minutes a game and the Blazers needing/wanting to play 13-17 minutes a game of small-ball (including Timelord in that), there just doesn't seem to be much of a slot for Yang. I know bigs get injuries so it's probably unlikely Clingan will play 82 games, but still....

Question with our new defense does Yang make sense? He’s ideal for a pick and roll offense, with our new movement offense and full court pressure defense I think he’s a liability. With new system your big has to be able to cover space, rebound and ideally block shots. Pains me to say this because I really like his potential but if this is our identity we’d be better off using him in a trade at some point.

If Rob Williams can play I’d send him down to G league get him 10 games see what he does in traditional offense.

Not sure he's any less a 'fit" than Donovan is.

Just want to get him consistent minutes out on the floor. You could tell he was a bit lost at times. The ball handler having to work around a few failed screens. Great opportunity for the young man to spend time in the offense and learn the NBA game.

If we were looking to try to win this season, this was expected to be the move as soon as RW3 got back. IF we think Yang might be ready for a few quality minutes in games later in the season, he must get consistent run now and he wont get that if we are looking to win. I'm positive they knew on draft night that Yang would be a remix player most of the season.
