I have faith that you are right. I also think the language barrier needs to be considered. Just that alone adds some time to development.

They assigned him down there previously just for practice reps, I believe, but not for an actual game

Yang is going to be really good in a couple of years. He's 20....I think he was a great draft pick this season to develop behind Clingan...Clingan didn't light up the league this time last year either. Meyers Leonard never did. Yang and DC will.

Either option or Coward would have been a far superior decision than to get Yang with the unprotected Orlando pick. My preference would have been to get the Pelicans unprotected pick, followed by Queen. There were some here who were soooo sure Queen would be nothing in the NBA. The kid has always been a straight up baller.

Still an unprotected pick when you know your team will be bad is a head scratcher. Unprotected. Does NOLA have a pick in this years strong draft? No but ATL does and it will be a nice fat juicy one too. Queen looks fine but not for the price. Who is saying he was a steal?

D. Sabonis and Lauri Markkanen both improved steadily but drastically. In both cases the team that drafted them offloaded them too soon.

While this is true, it doesnt resolve the sting by seeing Coward and Queen play so well and knowing we could use either of them.
