Dame was at AJ Griffin's workout today.

Really? Just passing and defense? Interesting.

They could do this passing routine in center court each possession until the shot clock runs out, then get back on defense....

Edit: I think Billups emphasizes passing and defense among players who can score. He's not going to play a guy much who can't score if he has other options.

Explain his love for Winslow then. You don’t think he’s gonna play? Lol. He was also a fan of Dunn.

I think I like Johnny Davis's fit with this team more than Dyson Daniels.

With Ant and Dame, you aren't going to be a heavy switch team and I think Johnny is the best screen navigator in the draft.

Offensively, he's more dynamic in the half court. Trust him to shoot it a little more and I like how his game translates to attacking with an advantage after an initial action which he really wasn't able to do at Wisconsin.

I also just want to see Dyson on a team that runs more and has more opportunity for on ball reps. I really do like him as a player and want him to find the best development opportunity.

Sharpe is working out today with Charlotte.

They have 13 and 15.

I don’t agree with you, but I can see where you’re coming from. I like Daniels ability to guard 1-4 better. He’s just as good at navigating screen in my opinion. What give him an edge is that he can play the 3 right away. Davis is a combo guard to me

i don't think you're gonna be able to get that much. I'd settle for 13 + 15 tbh.
Likely right. I'd try for 1 prospect with the pick swap, preferably. Kai, pj, McDaniels, bouknight.

Yes or No?

I’d think about it. Collins has really improved, especially defensively. But man giving up a top 10 pick for non stars, idk. Wish there was a list of past draft day trades involving top 10 picks and vets.

the 7th and Bledsoe for Collins? yeah....I'd prefer to get Collins and the 16th pick for Bledsoe and 7. But if not I'd probably still do that trade. Sure would be a lot better than 7 for Grant
I'd want that 16th pick or I wouldn't do it. So I would go as far as 7, 36 and Bledsoe for Collins and 16 but I wouldn't do Bledsoe and 7 for just Collins.

Thats a trade I would do, decent contract near 100 mil next 4 years, only 24, better than Grant IMO and likely cheaper

Which combos do we like most for our starting forwards?

Collins/Grant
Grant/Randle
OG/Grant

I think it's the last for me. Collins and Grant is pretty interesting too.

I actually think that OG and Grant lack rebounding. So Collins/Grant would be a good forward combo to come out of this offseason with. OG/Collins would be the best if it was at all possible.

I agree it's a bit light on rebounding but it would be the best perimiter defense. Pick your poison.

I didn't list the OG/Collins combo because it isn't possible.

Grant is being severely underrated here. He would be a great fit with what we currently have. As long as he stays #4 or #5 option.

That's true. It'll be interesting to see what the starting lineup is to start next season.
Winslow was all about passing and defense. He and Nurk were really on the same wavelength.

I think Grant/Colllins is fucking fantastic. I actually want Grant as the #3 option on offense... I think you're actually underrating him. Yeah, he can't win big as the number one guy but I think he'd be our second best overall player on the team and that we could win big if Ant can be the second scorer and Grant can be our best two way player.

I actually think Portland moving Bledsoe + 7 for Collins + 16, then 16 for Grant (into the TPE) would be a great off-season for the Blazers. Even if Portland had to add the Milwaukee pick and the 36th pick

Dame/Simons
Simons/Hart
Grant/Little/Hart
Collins/Winslow
Nurkic/Eubanks

with the tax-MLE and the 6.5M TPE and Keon/Didi + minimum contracts....there's a lot of upside in that team

not sure about Grant being the 3rd option with Collins and Simons on the team though

That's fair enough and would work its way out in training camp and during the season. I think we could keep the second rounder pretty easily. #16 and the Bucks 2025 first would be more than enough for Grant.

That's why Ant needs to go. If you're going all in, you trade Simons. One for one swap with Phoenix for Ayton.

What use would Phoenix have with Ant, especially at a salary that could match what Ayton would need?

Is it possible to sign and trade Nurk + pick for Ayton if we also get Collins/Grant?

If we're not cutting Hart or denouncing the rights to Ant then Nurk's new salary won't match Ayton's and Ayton's will put us over the cap so the salaries would have to meet the 125% plus 100k rule. If we cut Hart then we can have Collins or Grant and Ayton. We wouldn't have the stongest bench but we'd have a pretty fucking great starting five. In that case we might as well give the Suns Nurk, Hart and whatever pick(s) are leftover after the aquisition of Collins or Grant.
