Aminu for Randle works straight up. Throw in our pick (or Simons) and they probably do it. But since he’s pretty much an expiring, I wonder if we could get him for less.

Here’s a question: who’s a better fit for our current roster, Randle or Mirotic?

We aren’t getting Davis as sad as that makes me but considering New Orleans is probably going to do a rebuild, you go after the other guys, the role players. Give up your first rounder because that pick won’t be shit anyway especially when you’re gauranteed a legit role player and an actual asset

Randle has no bird rights so we'd for sure lose him this off season as we couldn't offer enough.

At least with Mirotic he has full bird rights so we could keep him if he chose to stay here. He could leave the minute the clock struck midnight on July 1st if he wanted to though.

Mirotic seems like the kinda player that would thrive here and love the city.

The difference between the two for me is the fit in Stotts’ system. Mirotic is tailor made for it and would have a relatively seamless transition imo. Randle would require more adjustments, which could be difficult in the middle of a season.

Mirotic would also be easier to acquire imo, even with the bird rights.

Would they actually take an extra year of salary(Moe or Nards) if we attached a first for Mirotic?

Weren’t we reportedly interested in Mirotic last year? Or was that just a bunch of wishful thinking from this board?

This is looking to be the most interesting offseason and trade deadline in a long time

I think they were talking to Chicago about it but Chicago liked the New Orleans offer better. After Cousins went down the Bulls had to assume that the New Orleans pick would be worth more than the Portland one. I think when Olshey said he made a mistake not using assets at the trade deadline he was specifically talking about Mirotic.

I think they were. Olshey also hinted that they were conservative in regards to holding onto picks/TPE at last years deadline. My theory has been that he passed on a deal for Mirotic.

Well I’m sure after Neil saw what Mirotic did to us in the playoffs he won’t make that mistake again.

On Rip City Drive with Travis and Chad they will talk about this topic next.

I'm surprised at how high we are on this list.

Vegas correctly predicted kawhi to Toronto this summer

Funny, this same guy called Portland a dark horse for Davis not even a month ago but now that it’s national news and he’s asked for dark horse teams, he just ignores them. I fucking hate the national media.
