We're not going after Davis from what I read today..we're going after Marc Gasol and a wing player...according to the rumors we're going hard at the Gasol trade...seems to be Neil's number one target
Gasol is good... but honestly, Nurk is much better at this stage. Gasol can shoot the 3, but I'd still rather have Nurk on the floor.

Gasol would be an upgrade at backup C, but we have much bigger issues than to "go hard" after Marc.

Neil seems to have a hard on for Centers. He’s acquired Nurk, went after Cousins last year, and now Gasol(supposedly).

Awfully risky to trust Kyrie to stay in free agency and to wait for a deal where lots of things can go wrong. What if Jaylen Brown tears his ACL in the playoffs?
Kyrie is irrelevant in considering a trade for AD. Boston would have AD under contract, which makes it easier to convince Kyrie to stay.

If Brown tears an ACL, again it's irrelevant. If it reduces his value, you find a different piece (or more picks) to include in the trade.

Correction: They'd have AD under contract for one season and Kyrie would have the whole moratorium to be wooed elsewhere.

Acces denied in Germany can't read it :(

as was seen last year in the playoffs and during much of last season, Boston was a pretty good team without Kyrie.

I'd say our last playoff exit would argue the point that Gasol would make our playoff bench pretty frickin amazing...it was our bench that really choked that series..having two legit 7 ft rim protectors would be great

Like I don't see the point of getting Gasol, outside of never having to see Nards in a Blazer uniform again...
But I believe Conley would be more attractive than Gasol on this roster would he not?
Neither to me are really pieces Portland NEEDS.

He has a horrendous contract though.

There is a lot of continuity with Nurkic and Gasol in terms of their skillset.

I would do something like this + Pick(s) in a heartbeat (if Memphis is blowing things up).

The story about chasing Gasol is...weird.

First of all, we have more pressing needs than back-up center. Second, there are teams out there that would want Gasol for more than a back-up. Logic suggests they would offer more than Portland would.

The only way the story makes sense is if Olshey is trying to get rid of Nurk. So, who is going to rock me as I cry myself to sleep?

What we're about to find out through this deal or a Randle deal is whether or not Meyers has built enough trade value to bring back an upgrade

You'd be trading back up centers so it evens out...if ET is included with Meyers the salaries would be closer

Gasola backup center....for $24 mil?

Zach and Nik? Don't see them or Trent Jr

But also want expiring contracts and young player and draft picks. Well got Aminu and Layman Nik and Curry that's expiring and then got Zach Trent Simons as youth. Will they consider Leonard in the deal hard saying.
