If AD ends up in LA, you will have me much more interested in that baseball team...

If insurance companies stop carrying policies for youth football leagues, America may start having more interest in baseball by necessity. And if that happens you will be able to here me gut laughing as far as Peru.

There is so much gray area with Rich Paul here. Where do his interests lie? I can't believe the league is OK with this setup.

What do they care? It's ratings, ratings, raitings!

I guess there is no point even to make a phone call since Ainge can easily promise them for summer Tatum, Brown+their 100 1sts which beats any offer we can make with our very late 1st rounders. This is simply a case that is out of our reach, we don't have the assets. I mean Tatum easily is more valuable than CJ+Nurkic since they will get into a deep rebuilding proccess.
Does the fact that Davis is announcing now mean he doesn't want to go to Boston?

Damn...you don't want any centers on this team! :D
It's interesting. AD has been on record like Aldridge saying he doesn't want to play C, but his team always seems to be better with him playing that position.

I would go big: (posted this elsewhere but it fits better here)

CJ/Collins/Turner/Simons or Trent and picks

for

Davis/Holliday

If New Orleans is having to move AD, it is complete rebuild time. For Portland, getting AD/Holliday to go with Dame/Nurkic puts them in position to get a FA to come play on 'the cheap' for a chance to win a title.

Add into that, I don't believe G-State won't look the same next season.

It's important to keep in mind this is the beginning of the NFL'S biggest week of the year and the NBA is stealing the headline.

The NBA loves this.

I think CJ would absolutely have to go in any trade for AD. With Lillard's contract and AD's new contract, we could just not afford to keep CJ. I think NO would look at CJ, Collins, and whoever they wanted from Simons, Trent, Layman, plus draft picks.

Double kick in the groin for New Orleans sports fans. In the past week they got the blown call costing them the SB and now the AD news. Thoughts and prayers to the fans out there.

I find it weird that people are offering trades with CJ and saying it's time for them to rebuild if they trade AD.

AD is younger than CJ.

Why is it weird? CJ for AD is not an equal trade so you have to put some sort of statement like that to justify it.

Also, New Orleans did this to themselves by leaving a horrible GM in place who didn't put the right pieces around AD.

Simply by not doing the Cousins trade they'd have Buddy Hield and someone like Donovan Mitchell from the 2017 draft.

They've made the playoffs twice in 7 years with him. By contrast the Blazers will be going to the playoffs for their 6th straight season this year in that same span.

CJ's triple double shows that Lillard is holding him back. CJ needs to go to a team where he can be the main focus on offense. See James Harden being traded from OKC for example.

(Now this is how you sell a CJ for AD trade. Start posting this everywhere and hopefully the Pelicans eventually see it.)

Our best chance is if they DON'T want to rebuild and wish to remain competitive and think CJ would thrive with his own team. If they do a complete tear down then there are several teams that can offer better younger players.

Who said anything about NO going for a full rebuild?

Spurs traded Kawhi for Derozan who is two years older. It happens.

This could benefit the Lakers in more than one way. Lebron wants Kyrie back. This might force Boston's hand to trade him. Though of course the Lakers would rather have Davis, but they know Boston has the best package. Lebron's agent trying push a trade for his other client AD to get Boston to trade Kyrie to L.A. ?

I'm not going to throw people under the bus but a few people in here are saying that.

A trade for CJ could happen but not if they are going into full rebuild mode.

For the deals I see with Moore included, switch them to Solomon Hill instead. That makes it much tougher for us to get there money wise but more appealing to them.
What? Hill is expiring while Moore has another year left at 9 mil.
