Just my opinion but I don't think Boston will offer Tatum.

No way I do that if I'm the Mavs. Possible ROTY on a cheap contract and under team control for 7 years, who plays at the most impactful position in the game, for an expensive, oft-injured player set to be a Free Agent who plays a the least impactful position in the game? The Mavs just became the Pels with this trade.
 
I’ve long since had a fantasy about Dame and AD together. The pelicans wanted to make it happen but we disrupted that. It’s destiny for the two to come together and dominate the league. Make it happen Neil!

You may want to specify that you want them to team up for the Blazers, ha ha. I would cry if it happened on the Lakers.
 
I'm gonna go on record as stating that NOP would be no worse if they were to make a trade with the primaries being Davis and CJ. Now it's up to Neil/Demps to prove me right (or wrong).

I think the likelihood of Dame / LBJ and AD teaming up in LA is higher than AD being traded to Portland.

This will never happen...Luka is untouchable...the Mavs want to move Wes Mathews and the young pt guard Smith Jr...as it is they are rumored to be going after Kemba Walker
 
If AD gets traded to a bottom feeder he may show some interest in Portland in the off season...I just don't think we can offer what eastern conf teams can in a trade by the deadline. They could get Wall, Beal, Kyrie, Kemba, Mike Conley and Gasol...all kinds of pieces in the eastern conf even without a guarantee he'd re-sign
 
Ladies and Gentleman I have the perfect solution that would leave the 3 teams involved feeling pretty good. There would probably need to be several things added to this but this is the basic groundwork of the trade:

Blazers get Anthony Davis

Pistons get Jrue Holiday

Pelicans get CJ and Andre Drummond

That seems like a really good foundation for a trade right? The Pistons are looking to deal Drummond and are in need of a new PG (Reggie Jackson sucks). The Pelicans would still be competitive with a CJ, Mirotic/Randle, Drummond core.

AD has flags....he's not the healthiest superstar around. There IS a risk in gutting your team to pair him with Dame....call me paranoid but if you trade a core player for a core player health is a huge concern..AD is very, very injury prone

Superstars can co-exist. Westbrook - PG13, Harden CP3, Curry and KD and the rest of them... I don't believe for a second Dame cares if he's the Batman or the Robin he wants to win. He wants to win in Portland no doubt about that. I just think there is 0 chance that AD gets traded here because there are much better offers out there than what Portland could offer. Theres a decent chance that AD gets traded to LA. In a couple years if Dame keeps being knocked out in the 1st round he's a UFA in 2021 LBJ / AD may be able to convince him to go there.
I don't think it's a high possibility that Dame goes anywhere, I think he'll be here for his career but I think it's a greater chance he joins them in LA, then AD gets traded to Portland.
 
Neil does have a relationship with Demps and made his only big trade to date in his career with him. Hopefully Dell does us a solid after we let his team steamroll us last year in the playoffs.

I sure do...and he's stated as much...he has his own team..his own brand...he's stated on record he's not a ring chaser and wants to make his team the draw. I don't think AD will get traded to Portland anyway....never did. I don't think playing on Lebron's team is everybody's cup of tea

Or we trade for AD, he and Dame convince LeBron to come here. We draft Lebron James Jr in 2024. We win 10 straight championships.

"Listen, would Anthony have been a great acquisition, of course. We'd did our due diligence in respect to looking into the possibility of trading for him. New Orleans wouldn't give up a 1st with Davis, so no deal."

Well Id agree with you. I just dont think anything all that specials going to happen for Portland in all of this. Least we got Dame though he’s fun to watch.
 
The Lakers are essentially the Wolves, but with LBJ. What I'm trying to say is, they don't have many good trade pieces to make something work. Basically Towns/Wiggins = Kuzma/Ingram? Yes, KAT > Kuz, but broadly speaking those two groupings are equally crap...and they represent each team's most valuable assets.
