Is this why Utah traded D. Will? Pure speculation, and highly doubtful, but the thought just occurred to me.

I don't think Sloan is that kind of guy. I think he just got fed up with the inmates running the NBA asylum; it's a far cry from what it was when he entered the league.

What's it been, 25 years since Utah has been without an elite point guard? I'm not sure Sloan would know what to do with his precision offense without that crutch.

^Well, the 03-04 Jazz did overachieve with Carlos Arroyo/various scrubs at point.

We saw what happened right after Stockton retired. No playoffs for three seasons, then Deron Williams made a big jump in his second year, and incredibly, the Jazz were in the playoffs again.

If Sloan got pissy about Deron Williams, imagine how he'd feel trying to control Devin Harris.

RT @christomasson: Just talked to Jerry Sloan. He said no to wild ideas he could return to Jazz w/D-Will gone - http://aol.it/e9XGJZ

So this takes Utah completely out of the playoff picture, right? Sucks to be a Jazz fan.
