IMO if we're going to win at least 1 of these 3 games, this should be the one. If our offense can step up.

RHP - Luis Severino (4-3, 3.12 ERA)

VS.

RHP - Marcus Stroman (2-0, 3.00 ERA)

Greg Bird has hit 9 HRs through his 1st 33 games, the 3rd most in Yankee history through such a span behind Kevin Maas (12) & Shane Spencer (11)

CF - Ellsbury
LF - Gardner
DH - Rodriquez
C - McCann
RF - Beltran
1B - Bird
3B - Headley
2B - Ackley
SS - Gregorius

...let's just hope he doesn't turn into Maas or Spencer.

True but the'll all still be here next season. Honestly though if I could move the final year (2016) of both Beltran & Teixeira even if it means paying half there salary, I'd do it.

It would be ideal to get Tex to waive his no trade and send him down to a National League team. You're of course banking on Bird being the real deal but it really doesn't matter because I wouldn't resign Tex anyway. I could live with the final year of Beltran's deal. Judge has to show he's ready before he becomes the anointed one. He likely needs more time in AAA.

Both Beltran & Bump will always have physical
problems surrounding their future. Their contracts
prove that the Yankee GM has a short rope circling
that chicken neck. Gulp! Gulp! Gulp!

...yeah, that's pretty much what I was getting at.

'59 beat me to it... I agree... I'm hoping he isn't a flash in the pan that fades into obscurity...

I hear you Ron & I also can't help but wonder what happens to him next year when Teixeira is back at 1st base.
...Tex, CC, ARod, Beltran...all albatross contracts.

I really wish they would retire... I don't care if they have to flat out release them... they're holding this team back from the future...

Tex has to make it back on the field, worry about it then. Until then Bird is 1B.

you beat me to it, and took the words right out of my head. How did you know what I was gonna' say, or did you plant that thought into my head?

ala Guggenheim style, 100 million to ex-Bums players, to sit at home, get 'em off the roster, or pay to let 'em play elsewhere?????

5-12 against Toronto this year is a damn disgrace.

Someone told me the other day that they (Jays) have our number. Screw that, they f'king own us. We're like there red headed step child.

Tonight's lineup has been posted in the OP. GO YANKEES!!

I'll take the 2-0 early lead but it would be more if Gardner and Headley could hit the broad side of a barn right now.

again who is positioning these players, didi should not be playin that deep with a leadoff batter, great they got the DP.. but holy smokes!

LOL if Ackley isn't where he is it's a hit up the middle instead of a DP.

would luv 2 no the rational behind gardner hitting top of lineup, if you can't use his speed put him at the bottom

I was thinking the same thing Vic, but it seems like when one player finds his stroke (Ellsbury) another loses there's (Headley).
