Game Thread Yankees vs Blue Jays GAME 2 (Two)

We all honestly should've known after that ridiculous nonsense in the Baltimore series.

After tonight the Yankees will be closer to the Rangers then they are to the Jays.

Don't know what the hell is going on my gamecast froze up on the Yankee game.

And once again this is what happens when you just sit on your ass and watch everyone around you improve their team. Forgetting Tulo and Price for a second. Look at the pickup Bem Revere has been for Toronto. Including his great game 2 tonight he's 50 for 145 which is a .345 average.

Ok guys, it looks like we are settling for the Wildcard so:

White Sox -7 / Twins -2 7th
A's -5 / Rangers -1 5th

Can someone post Jim Mora's speech......Lmao

Gardner the one bright spot of the day. 4-9 3 homers and 7 RBIs in the double header.

Ellsbury, a real hero, 1-14 this series, reminds me of Winfield stranding 11 baserunner back in '85.

I know the Rangers are losing tonight but at the rate we're playing we may end up losing the WC also.

Thanks Vic I needed a laugh. You are right hopefully Gardner has got it together now it seems with Beltran & McCann doing ok if the rest of these whores can catch fire and if Toronto goes into a skid we might have a slim chance at the division.

We mentioned it before. Is going to turn out to be another horrific Yankee contract in terms of production and durability.

Offense was up but the God Damn Bullpen just gave shit right back. Pineda and Nova just stunk. Need a damn good performance out of Tank tomorrow but who knows the offense may corrode.

Ellsbury all the way down to .259 now. This is the leadoff hitter so should we wonder why we're in trouble?

More numbers you just can't have.

In Nova's last seven starts he has allowed 29 earned runs in 35 innings pitched. So first of all he's giving you on average five innings a start. The about of runs speak for themselves. It's dreadful. Pineda on the other hand has allowed four or more earned runs in 1o of 16 starts since that 16 strike out game. He has gone 92 innings in those 16 starts so you're also talking about someone averaging averaging less than six innings a start.

Hey Vic, The Giants are on Sunday Night Football. Does everyone post here or do you have to go to the Football Thread. I don't remember from last year.

Not a lot of football talk around these boards unfortunately. I would think this would be the best place if we want to chat during the game.

Bumgarner is PERFECT through 7 innings.

I chat on Big Blue Huddle. They seem like a good group over there. I can't tolerate the clowns on giants.com. The mods over there don't like anything but praise and rainbows no matter how bad the play on the field.

Yeah I would rather stay here.

Good I'm sorry but I am not a fan of the Giants. They win the World Series every other year.

I've been a Giants fan (SF) for over 50 years. But yeah the perfecto was broken up in the 8th.

I grew up in an orphanage for many years & the priest went to college with Willie McCovey & on one of his visits to SF he got me an autograph picture of Willie McCovey & Willie Mays & I was Hooked. My older brother got me hooked on the Yankees in the early 60s so I've followed both all these years.
