Not the World Series but seeing the Yankees kicking Dodger Butt in the '16 regular season to spoil their pennant chase is almost as nice. Go Yankees waiting on Judge to start smoking the ball!

I have never tried smoking a baseball.... yet- agreed, Judge has got to bring his B'avg up. Or else try out for the NFL....give him a year or two, will he be the next Winfield, or Michael Jordan...(Birmingham Barons ie)

When I look at the size of Judge I get immediate recollections of Dave Winfield. Both big, athletic, outfielders, right handed hitters in a yard favorable to lefties. Winnie in my estimation was a great player, and I'm hoping Judge will catch on and be in that mode. Sanchez & Austin are coming along, I'm hoping Judge will as well.

Gardner -LF
Ellsbury -CF
Sanchez -C
Castro -2B
McCann -DH
Headley -3B
Austin -1B
Judge -RF
Torreyes -SS

Winfield was an incredible athlete. Could've played a few sports in the pros but certainly made a good choice. If Judge can manage half his career we should be happy.

...just my 2 cents, but I don't think Judge is anywhere near the same league as Winfield...could he be as good of a Baseball player as Winfield?...I suppose it's possible but I seriously doubt it.

...purely because of his size and brute power, I'd compare Judge to someone like Giancarlo Stanton.

interesting.....but I'm pretty sure that Rob has smoked just about anything that'll combust.

I'm a hoping too, damn near on my knees praying at times....! Out of this pile of Prospects, (with some yet to make themselves known) shall come ring #28, i hope I hope I hope....!

indeed if it didn't smoke me first, ( ie Hydrazine handling, underwater Beryllium drilling ops et al )....

wait, those have nothing to do with smoking baseballs, -

...how many rolling papers do you have to stick together in order to wrap them around a baseball?

...^^^you took the words out of my mouth...that was a back breaker.

The lack of starting pitching rears it's ugly head.

Costly errors this evening, and yep starting pitching but considers these young Yankee Pitchers getting some damn good OJT ditto the position players.

It's better than watching aging athletes embarrassing the uniform; the kids we know will learn,
improve & grow to be winners.

Not interested tonight. Down 4-1 I put on Dancing with the Stars and now Monday Night Football, checked score 7-2, Mitchell and the rest of the crew Shit the bed obviously, Thank God I didn't waste my time.

those rolling papers? or my rolling papers? see below, reference size comparison, hand to leaf. Similar to your Steroid Okra Giants, arm to stalk.

Caly votes for Legalization this November, wait, isn't that when we vote for POTUS too- (different Post),

disclaimer: no intent to hijack game thread.!

Castro having some season.

It's good to see this local kid blasting HR's...

good to see Judge re-connect with a deep ball...

I really really expected to see a Beer Bath rain down upon those dressed in the wrong color of blue, bringing Chavez Ravine to the Bronx, (and no fkng Taco Trucks-wtf).... doing a roll call, deserved a rain bath of Budweiser, a Tsunami's worth; at least a drunk pissing on 'em.

I can't stand Roberts, not then as a Beantown boy in fkng 04, not now, not in LA, either. I've literally watched a helluva lot more Marlin's games this yr than local bum-fks, whom I avoid other than to watch CK pitch, and that's the million $$$ Q, will we see him in the Bronx???, Bums seem timid about bringing him out, but have to this late get him warmed up to P.S. It doesn't matter, CK will never win a Series ring..!!!

I'd love to see CK lit up like Mad-Bum was this year. Worth savoring.

However, this kid Seager at SS is a model for any team. Turner from Vanderbilt's NCAA W.S. Team's is one I'd gladly love to see in pinstripes other than Headley. Fk Puig, the kid in CF is a defensive Superman, but swings to much for power, hurting his avg severely. the rest can all go fk themselves, still Bums, you can't move cross the country and hide, they're still Bums, however Chase Utley has played the majority of games, proving his worth still...!

Now that I think of it- I believe that big LA flag down the LF line, was a Beer-rain Canopy, not a LA Flag. It had to be, ... let it rain..!

Good point 59, at this age Winfield was already well re-knowned in multiple sports. Tho' he never played football at Minnesota, the Vikings indeed drafted Winfield. 1 of 3 athletes drafted by 3 sports, and 1 of 2 drafted by 4 leagues. I see what your saying, with Stanton/Judge. Winfield was an entirely different player/ rather athlete...

PS- why did Sanchez get charged for the throw being errant, when Torreyes acted like a bystander, with little if any attempt to make a 'real' catch on the throw at 2nd....wtf...?

Judge may have been up sooner but the retard in the GM Office chose to take another route. When I first became a fan of this team the Yankees brought them young then kicked their asses out when they were on the verge of mediocrity. Under Cashman they signed those with historical pasts and dim futures. Recently we've seen the influx of youth which has lit up some fuses that spark. That trend must continue, it's OK to get a F/A in late '90's style IE spend wisely. I don't know how anyone else feels but I think something snapped in Yankee land with heads threatened to be rolled. We'll probably never know what really happened, but has anyone noticed that since one individual left the team just skyrocketed. I don't have friends in or knowledge of the Yankee Clubhouse but I firmly believe that that individual was much more of a clubhouse cancer and distraction than was leaked. I formed that idea in my head back during the '12 playoffs when he was sat and Ibanez stepped in and up with production. The Yankees are now moving in a positive manner but I still have limited faith in the GM!

Things could change but I'm not very high on Judge. He's obviously a speciman but he has a lot to learn about hitting at this level. He looks at this point like a low average guy who will bop some homers but strike out a ton.

...^^^ Outstanding point, ... yeah, now that you've mentioned it, the clubhouse is lighter, full of vigor and youth, with the Druggist gone, the cancer seems to of gone into remission...and the entire team is playing with passion, regardless of the outcome, they're not giving up...
