Confidence is probably missing from many fans with Gray on the hill. Glad the bull pen has had a smidgen or R&R, they may be needed toniht.

Is Gray one of those pitchers who has really good stuff but just never quite handles New York?
 
The Yankees got Drury playing 1B in Scranton. After that Bird broke a long slump with a hit and RBI. With Drury in the dugout last night Bird hits two home runs. Little kick in the butt maybe got Bird going, we'll see, Per Kaat & Costas Sonny has not fared well against Boston since becoming a Yankee. An0-3 record with an ERA of 7 does not get one brimming with confidence. As Mary Chapin Carpenter once sang "Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug" We'll see which Sonny is at game time.

Long time Yankee fan from about as far away in the contiguous 48 as you can get from NY. Fandom started with a book on George Herman Ruth I read in our tiny, small school library (dad worked at the school) after seeing my first ever baseball game on TV. Been hooked ever since.

Damn, Verlander has now lost two in a row. A shit team like Tampa sweeps the Yankees & Nationals, now up 2-1 on Houston. Watched a few innings of the Oriole Angels Game. Orioles are pathetic, blew 2-1 lead giving up four in the 8th. Machado looks like he's dogging it, saw him fail to run out an infield grounder, made a sloppy Play. Showalter looks like he's ready to cut his throt>
