yeah, Toronto really has no reason to replace Bosh with Aldridge, even if it does net them another nice piece. If Bosh and Bargs isn't working, why would Bargs and LMA? It would be a very similar front court.
I understand the concept of trying to get something, but I'd take 90 cents on that dollar of LMA if the something was a better fit thanLMA would be. In other words, if they were to shop him, and LMA was the absolute peak of the value offered for him, I'd prefer to take slightly less value for a player that played more a position of need, or fitthe direction of the team better.
Big 5 rebounds a game!!! Nice!
Think rebound rate, not rpg. Johnson is quite good at 17.1%. (by contrast LMA is about 13%)
The only problem I have with Amir, is he is one of those "Athletic project players". You know, the type that we have got here and there, and we wait 5 years for them to become a below average player. Those types. I am sick of waiting forever for a player to not live up to their billing. Get guys that can ball from the start and you are better off.
That's completely the opposite of what Johnson is. He's a fifth year guy who has posted PERs of 20 twice, 17, 13 and now 15 this year. He's an undersized 4 and he plays a hustle style game with little to no post moves. This isn't a project player we're talking about here, he was a late second round pick who probably should have been taken a lot earlier based on his actual production which is why he's always been a backup.
Absolutely not. Not even straight across. I think Lamarcus will be absolutely perfect playing alongside Greg. Bosh, not quite so much.
Plus, I'm a huge fan of Lamarcus the person.

To be fair, one would assume that LMA's TRB% would go up if he played on Toronto, and Bosh/Amir would not have anywhere near the TRB% if they played next to Joel and Oden...
You also consider the fact that LMA tends to leak out on defense because there is a very good chance that Joel/Greg (before he went down) would take it.
LMA is not a terrific rebounder, but he is far from the "chump" people make him to be.
Bosh is a better offensive player than LMA, if only for his face-up game from the dribble. On the other hand, LMA is a better defensive player than Bosh imho.
Overall, this is a big trade over nothing from Portland's perspective. Sure, we have problems scoring the ball this season with all the injuries, but this is a short term problem, hopefully. I think the better defender and almost as good an offensive player, on a smaller salary is the better way to go for Portland. Not that Bosh is not great, he is - but fit, here, I am not sure he is better.
I want that enforcer-type player. The one that really pisses other players off with jocking for position.
Its as if you guys completely forgot the raptors were in this trade too. And no, they wouldn't do it. They'd be getting better offers than that.

What does Bosh do that makes him not fit alongside Greg?
and people on here laugh when i simply say we need a sf in a trade.
bosh getting traded here for la... pipe dream? no chance in hell? wasted thread? garbage to read.
you choose from bold above...
