Now that I have your attention - This is a perfect example of why we need a separation of church and state:

"Man can't change climate, only God can." James Inhofe, Chair of the U.S. Environment & Public Works Committee

Conflict of interest much?

More like we need a separation of stupidity and state.

barfo

James Inhofe received $434,950 dollars from the oil and gas industry from 2009-2014.

The quote seems out of context to me.

If he had said, "only Nature can," would anyone gripe about it?

It's true some of the most religious assholes claim things like Hurricanes are God's retribution against Gays and that sort of thing, but this isn't in that league.

we have a separation. If the majority of the senate/congress think like he does, it's representative republicanism at work. If they don't, it's representative republicanism at work. If he is voting based on how much he got from a donor, that isn't representative republicanism at work.

that Christian Zealot Nancy Pelosi:
Pelosi said:
1.“The Bible tells us in the Old Testament, ‘To minister to the needs of God’s creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us.’ On this Earth Day, and every day, let us pledge to our children, and our children’s children, that they will have clean air to breathe, clean water to drink, and the opportunity to experience the wonders of nature.”

It actually doesn't. It's not even on par with Ezekiel 25:17.

You and I have a fundamental difference here, you don't think God can, and I don't think he will.

But then perhaps you think that man can change the climate. My question for you is, how many taxes will we have to pay to stop the oceans from rising?
Obama promised when he got nominated that, today is the day when the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal! Will he deliver? And
how much tax are you up for to make a prophet of Obama?

The guy writing that article is sort of messed up.

"Carol said, quoting the Bible. “We have the right to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness. And as long as the people who run this country continue to realize rights come from God, not from government, the people are going to be free.”

How did he come to say Carol "quoting the Bible"?

He must be an atheist or perhaps a Dennyist that can't recognize when a person references the Declaration of Independence from the Bible.

Pretty much, yes

Pretty sure they would, as it exhibits an ignorance unbefitting a massively overpaid "public servant".
