D. He made some good dunks, had a few good games, but rarely ever really helped us.

That grade could improve by getting traded for someone better.

C+, average in terms of meeting expectations. Wasn't anything special, but I can't say I was disappointed.

Made me miss Jason Collins.

That says it all.

I picked C because he wasn't going to put up big numbers and he played half decent in time given.

C+
apparently couple of his fans did not vote. I don't see A's

C work maybe?

He would have been a B or better (B+ ceiling) if we could have stretched opposing defense with better shooting from the perimeter.

The nights when a couple brain cells would fire off he looked ok.

These reasons for giving him a C are soooooooo weak.

Anybody have an actual reason for giving him a passing grade?

You expected better than what he gave the Nets?

To me, he warranted a D for giving us some entertainment in games we knew we were going to lose anyways.

He played better than Maglorie in his limited minutes.... He also was less painful to watch than Malik Allen.

c+, he was ok, played well when we first got him and finished the season well. had his downs but ok

becasue he didnt play as bad as collins, despite playing with 1/4 of a brain

I don't know about other Stro fans, but I wouldn't vote A just for the heck of it...unlike people who voted F.

So basically that means you guys were expecting him to average a double-double playing 14 minutes per game? I would vote B-/C+ because he was average, he had some good games and some bad. But since he dropped one of his sickest dunks of his career in a Nets uniform, he deserves a little bonus.

While Sean Williams got mostly Bs and Cs (even some As) in his season in review, it makes me wonder how reliable these votes are. I know that he had a good half to the season and that he's a rookie but still...

That being said, I don't care about the fact that some of you guys are already sick of Swift but I hope for you guys that he won't pick up that option...and that Sean will pick up a ball instead of a bong this summer.

I'd rather carry 13 players than bring Swift back. He's a good dunker, though.

Swift is definitely picking up that option this summer, that a free 6+ million that he will never get again.

How so? Every year you could point to a half dozen games or so and say "No way they win that game without Collins."

So I don't buy your reason. You have another one?

So he deserves a C because he's better than two of the worst players in the NBA?

Both of those guys are an F-.

Best reason given.

Since winning games would have hurt the Nets, Swift actually contributed by playing.

And the bonus was he gave us 10 seconds of excitement every so often.

He wasn't the problem. So I gave him a C-.

He was brought in to be an expiring contract this summer. Combine him and KVH and you can take in more than $11.7 million in a trade. Add Mo Ager and you're at $13 million. Since KVH has some sort of buyout, it could be an appealing package for a team wanting to dump someone for expiring contracts and a draft choice (Dallas 2010). If a team wants Marcus Williams, then substitute him for Ager.

but he's not an expiring contract. He has a player option that he'll opt. And he's worthless. Less than worthless, since everyone is convinced that Collins was worthless, and Memphis readily gave him up for Twin.

You think he's not going to pick up the option?

Well, he is known for being pretty dumb.

Actually, no.

I've seen him play a good game here and there for his other teams and even contribute to a win once in a blue moon.

Then it is your problem, not Swifts. Swift was clearly better than any reasonable person had any right to expect.

I'm strongly considering giving him an A

You exaggerate.

There is a difference between the expectations of being the #2 pick in the draft and replacing Jason Collins.

ghoti = GOAT swift hater.

anyways, i didn't vote but i'd give him a b-/c+. he exceeded expectations in limited minutes, made very few mistakes, and consistently played hard and pretty well for the most part. people that are giving him Ds and Fs, may i ask what you expected out of him and what type of production your looking for from a guy who plays less than 15 mpg?

Hey! Cpawfan said my expectation of him having a decent game once in a while was unreasonable. He is waaaaaaaay more of a hater than I am!
