That's not for Obama to decide if they are justified or not. There's a process, and once these things go through the process the cops are usually exonerated.

Young black men are probably one of the most violent, most incarcerated and least educated demographic in the US. It is not by chance or by a "corrupt system" that they end up getting shot by cops. Its a history of violence and anti-authority attitudes in their culture.

Actually no, I don't have statistics currently in hand, though I suspect I can easily find them. But in this instance it would be like asking me to provide statistics to prove Damian Lillard is a great ball player. I trust my eyes and ears to confirm it. Not everything in life needs (IMHO generally overrated) statistics to prove a point. Especially this particular point. Proof is everywhere around us virtually daily. And yes, most definitely I'm on an emotionally charged rant that has nothing to do with what media does or does not want. I base my rant on spending 62 years of life watching the same old bullshit play out year after year while we engage in the same old rationalization so and shit never changes except for the worst.

When the KKK makes threats against black lives, we generally just laugh at them as the ignorant clowns they are, despite their violent history against blacks. We don't take them seriously because they don't threaten white lives, therefore we have no skin in the game. We certainly don't spend a whole lot of time trying to respect the black perspective in these instances. But let an angry black man threaten a white life and we run screaming for our lives and our guns. I am truly befuddled by how cold whites are in general to issues that negatively impact minority lives. I have finally and truly come understand the meaning of white privilege.

I do. One of my best friends is a pakistani muslim too. That helps in some ways, but ive been where you are making the same arguments even as of a week ago.

Sitting with people of color that are not in my circle, listening to things i take for granted everyday, and havent thought of personally, gave me more perspective today than the last 30 years have.

Ive done it. Ive found there are 2 different types of people and race has nothing to do with it. You either make excuses or take personal responsibility. I use to make excuses and blame shift. It took a lot of focus to fundamentally change the way i think. Like this guy says at the start of the video
