Literally the ONLY time he's ever won anything (and let's be honest - that was won/lost by Gentry/Stotts) - otherwise he's lead his team straight to the lottery, something Dame has never done.

Still waiting to hear how it is that such an awesome player consistently sucks at winning games...

Oh I didn’t know this was tennis.

I will answer who would i like to see traded outside the obvious ( myers ) -- CJ cause while i think he is a very good player but like someone said either in this forum or someplace else i read but he is like Jamal Crawford in his prime but i think a hair better. I think IF this team has ANY shot of being a legit contender while Dame is a Blazer they need to try and use CJ as an asset to get that done.

I am going to ask a question and be honest outside of Dame who would you be most upset if they traded ? -- also not talking let's say they have to give up Layman ( who everyone loves atm ) in a package to get a A. Davis -- i am talking about let's say Portland trade Layman tomorrow to get the Wolves Saric or something like this.

Nurkic, Layman, and Trent. I believe in all three and don’t want them elsewhere.

Then Blake does what he does near every season:

Get injured in the playoffs. :smiley-ko:

Then, as he watches from the sidelines, we watch our playoffs hopes go down the drain. :dunno:

Then there's this:

Blake Griffin signed a 5 year / $171,174,820 contract with the Los Angeles Clippers, including $171,174,820 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $34,234,964. In 2018-19, Griffin will earn a base salary of $31,873,932, while carrying a cap hit of $32,088,932 and a dead cap value of $141,661,920.

And bro.... FUCK THAT...

Also, not only is he injury prone and MAD expensive, he's a fucking DICK.

Now, have a look at this hot white lady showing Blake's dickliness:

Ridiculous once again.

He's changed his style for the better.
His injury issues and "personal" issues will make him much cheaper. You dont say no to a legitimate all-star averaging 25/8/5 if you can keep our best 4 players, which might be possible due to those issues.

If he stays healthy, we would be the 2nd best team in the West and would be a legitimate contender to make the WCF (and once KD and Cousins leaves, the finals).

You dont turn that down because "Oh, he might get hurt and he's an asshole!".

All this shit about AD being a Top 5 player makes me feel like I'm taking crazy pills. GTFO! Explain to me how he's so good when his team is CONSISTENTLY SO BAD. Top 5 players don't consistently lead losing efforts year after year after year. At this point he's the most overrated player in the league.

Better players off the top of my head:

Dame
LBJ
Durant
George
Westbrook
Curry
Harden (but FUCK that guy!)
Giannis
Kawhi
Shit, I'd take Embiid and Simmons over him
How about Jokic actually leading his team to near the top of the standings?

Why will this narrative not die? He's had crap around him until last year, and didn't help matters by being injured a lot prior to that. Neither quantifies the player he is today.

heh. Ok if I have to go with someone else, Moe kind of drives me nuts. I feel like at Least Aminu always plays hard. Moe kind of does whatever Moe feels like doing on that particular night.

When Aminu dribbles it makes me wanna belly flop off the Burj Khalifa, but this is very true. Harkless would be up there. Good point.

The fact that Neil was unwilling to move LMA when it was obvious he was going to leave, or shake things up now, tells me that the guy has no balls.

I miss Trader Bob.

I really dislike Olshey and there's a ton of things to slam him for

I'm not sure this is one of them. I think he was getting a few mixed signals from Aldridge but most of the signs were probably positive. That was one roadblock to trading Aldridge

but I think the bigger roadblock was likely Paul Allen. He said several times he didn't want to go thru another rebuild and trading Aldridge would have started one. I say that as somebody who really hates how often Olshey supporters have trotted out the 'PA made Olshey do it' excuse, especially for the 2016 lunacy. Mostly, I think it's total bullshit, but in the Aldridge situation, my hunch is it was a big factor

If it doesn't get us a championship, then no. A championship is our ultimate goal, right? We stand a better CHANCE with that by having someone of Nurk's caliber, then just having Dame and Davis.

Dame and Davis + roll players are NOT winning against Golden State. For the same reason that LeBron/Davis are not winning a championship against them either.

Get that fantasy out of your head.
You need to get the fantasy out of your head that you know better than other people. Damn that was some patronizing bullshit, you need to watch how you address people.

We need an asshole on our team, imo. Nurk has his moments though.

If it was obvious to some of us fans that he was going to leave 2 years before he did, I think it should have been obvious to the team. They were afraid to make the trade, and I hate that our team operates out of fear and not a constant desire to win.

I'll try this again, because I don't think the question was answered very clearly. This is basically a yes or no question.

Do you think that a core of Dame/CJ/Nurk gives a better chance at a championship than a core of Dame/Davis?

Yeah, believe me there are times where the second he puts the ball on the ground I start into my Michael Scott impressions...

You seemed a little snotty in your original post, I responded in kind. But that's besides the point.......AD/Dame cannot win against GS. Period. It doesn't take a genius to see that.

And if you don't believe me......then let me ask you this: do you think AD/LeBron can win against Golden State if Davis does to the Lakers? Because nobody with half a brain believes that either.

It's going to take more than two elite players to win a championship in the West.

I think they have a better chance over the next 5 years than AD+Dame over the next 2.

Well with all the if's a lot of "pundits" think this is GS's last year that at least one or two of them will be gone. If that happens next year AD / Dame could win right they'd have just as much a shot as a lot of the other teams out west.

The one thing that Dame/AD would have over Dame/CJ/Nurk is recruiting.

We would have a MUCH easier time trying to convince another star player to want to come to Portland if we had Dame and Davis.
