Blazers Uprise Postgame Show!
Blazers 113, Suns 111
Portland gets the victory in OT behind 41 points from Dame. Come celebrate the 2-0 start and talk about the game with us!

I want to apologize to Chauncey for challenging that call.
I mean it worked out but basically giving up a tie to go to a 2OT when you could have at least used the TO to draw up a last second Dame shot is a dumb move nine times out of ten imo.

Now let’s beat the piss out of the Lakers
i was gonna be driving back home thru the mountains at the time but might need to change my schedule to watch that game.

weird start time. 1PM pacific on a sunday.

For those of you who feel assists are important. Are you concerned we only had 14?

The turnovers were far more concerning to me.

Not correcting you. Just don’t want you to miss it

Fun fact.

Simons was the only starter with a +, and Sharpe had the highest of both teams.

* if anybody is interested, against an actual contender, in overtime, the Blazers scored the last 7 points of the game

* Nurkic definitely played up to his contract tonight. Simons didn't, until he brought out the hook

* Blazer defense had some major brain farts, but it's showing lots of promise

* the offense is pretty remedial right now having to settle for a lot of ISO

Wow I owe everybody an apology. I was acting like a scared bitch and I was completely proven wrong!

Amazing win and what a way for Simons to redeem himself. Great win!

Sharpe still sucks though. FML

Suns are trash
The Suns were the best team in the Western Conference in the regular season last season and didn't have any major roster turnover that would make any reasonable person say that they are trash (I realize I'm not necessarily responding to a reasonable person). Given their insanely good road record last season of 32-9, I would say handing them a road loss tonight is a pretty big deal especially when you consider that this roster still needs a lot of balancing out.

They’ve won these two games while being very sloppy with the ball which is a good sign because you’d hope they’d clean it up.

My wife was counting us as dead when we went down by 5 with 1:30 left. I told her she’s a noob because this is an eternity in basketball

I think the Suns have mini-implosion potential.

The Suns will have their shit together soon and that's unfortunate because we have to try to pull this same thing off two more times in back to back night starting in a couple of weeks. This is an encouraging win though and we shouldn't diminish it with some weird predictions like they're having a mini implosion after we handed them their first loss, regardless of how they got their first win.

Simons one on one against one of the best defenders in the NBA with the game on the line....... that was the highlight for me.
Yes, his numbers sucked, but he had two clutch shots in the game...the 3 for the lead with 1.18 left, and the hook to win it.
That means much more to me in the long term than his stats tonight.
