yes, Simons is jealous of a rookie months after signing a 100 million dollar deal.

i won't forget to bump this bullshit later on. don't you worry lol
We were just on the bus heading back to the hotel and Sharpe yelled, "Yo, Big John....grab me a water." I did, asked Ant to pass the bottle of water to Shaedon, and he snatched it and opened it and drank it himself. I asked him why he did that and he said, "Isn't it obvious, I'm jealous of The Rook!"

When we were 9-3, our D was awesome, we won no matter who played, and you felt like we could play better. What. The Fuck. Happened?
This is such a perfect post. Simply amazing.

So here we are again. The same guys on here who every season think we are going to win 55 games and are pissed and freaking out! I can't speak for others, but for those who looked at the talent accumulated in the offseason, kinda' saw this coming. This is a 40-42, 10th place team. My "faith and fandom" questioned.... sigh. It's a long season, c'mon FAMS, don't lose "faith" in our Blazers.

SideNote: anybody else see how "old" LeBron looked tonight? HA!

"Everyone knows this"...;)

I'm frustrated with these results for sure.
But, I still believe in Chauncey, I really do.
They may not win 50 games this year, but what's really important is, 'can they beat a 50 win team come April/May...?'
That's all that counts.

Dame got injured and it did matter who played... the reason why those guys could all play so freely on offense is that Dame stretches opposing defenses maybe more than anyone (including Steph) in the league (not because Dame is the better shooter but because teams have had success in the past blitzing Dame which makes the defense lean towards him). So our guys got to play on spaced out courts giving them a better chance to make shots which allowed them to get their defense set. All of this gave them more energy and momentum in the games where Dame played. This benefits them when Dame is on the floor but also allows bench players to play bench roles and go all out while Dame is sitting.

We are 7-4 when Dame plays. One of those losses we were still in striking distance when Dame went out with his calf injury. For the sake of argument we'll still go with 7-4 which projects out to 52 wins and I think many of us in here would be happy to take that. On the flip side that makes us 4-7 with Dame out... I would say that makes a pretty good argument for it mattering who plays both now and at every other point of every season ever.

He's terrible off the ball on defense, but decent on the ball....and better than Ant by a bit.
He's 6-9 tonight on offense despite Ant not passing him the ball a single time in the 2nd half and I don't remember one in the 1st half either.
Yeah i watched this pretty clearly live. Sharp is very very raw. Flashes of offense. Actually can stay with a player on defense when one on one. He has some court vision and gets some off ball tips and steals. His "Team" defense and rotations are very subject. He struggles still to know where to be. When he gets caught out of position it looks like a total team breakdown often.

Long season with ups and downs like many other teams. The league has approx. 25 mediocre/average teams with just a few legit contenders.
Considering all the injuries and crazy schedule I dont feel to bad about where we are at, and if we get a full team healthy we will re-connect and become a feisty team once again.

Also, really starting to feel more and more that Nurk is an anchor on the ceiling of this team. I'm just not seeing where a player like him can be part of the foundation of a true contender. It's not the inconsistent play. It's the inconsistent effort. That crap's contagious. Wondering if a Nurk and either Hart or Justise or GPII for Turner/Buddy Hield trade of some sort might be worth exploring at the trade deadline.
I'm not sure what trade value Nurk has; I don't think Indiana wants him. I think they want to go young so would offer Nurk (going to a third team) plus any two of Watford, Brown and Walker for Turner only. If we can't find anyone who will give value for Nurk, then we might need to throw in a FRP.

It's not me saying this stuff. It is things I see, hear or read on multiple platforms. It has also been brought up to me by someone tied to multiple coaches in the NBA. They are not making it up. Now it may not be purposeful, but they showed me data where it was impossible to ignore that for whatever reason, it was happening.

I live in the East Coast time zone and have to get up early, so I (thankfully) missed the second half. People who stayed to the bitter end: how did Jabari look?

Problem is, it's basically the same 4-6 every year.
Dynasties do happen but it's usually linked to a great player.
GS was not in the hunt every year until the last 8.
Chicago has not been in the hunt much since Jordan.
Spurs are not in the hunt without Duncan.
Cavs without James? Or the Heat
Bucks have Giannis, Nets have Durant, Boston has Tatum
Who really knows this year?

Glass half-full thought: a lotto pick this year would be nice.
If we’re not good enough to win a playoff series this season, I’d rather tank. I know it’s a hard sell for Dame but the gain could be huge and he’s locked up with Blazers and his monster extension.
