Stood pretty close to him a few weeks back. I'm 6'-3". He seemed taller than me.

Torey and Eric pointed out that Grant is not very good at navigating screens, so not the best option to start the game on the other teams best guard. They said Simons is better at that. I assume Payton will also be better at navigating screens.
 
I am curious to see prediction game results. Did anyone predict four wins?

what i don’t get though is okay of a homer fan is here and the team does bad, then homer fan disappears. I get that. Not wanting to run around slidging through all the negativity.
Call em fair weather fans, fine. But i get it.


but when a negative nancy or pessimistic fan disappears when the team does well…. Wtf???

I mean, isnt this what you want as a fan? To win and have fun? Watch good basketball, win or lose( Blazers are more fun to watch than anytime in the last decade)?

How can some of you just disappear?
Its like yall get joy out of the negative and cant handle the positives?

I'll give this a shot. Hold on a moment, let me get into character...

Look--I get that the team is doing well early, and it's nice to see them actually playing defense and surprising the rest of the league. But you and I both know that whatever the chemistry looks like now, they're still at a severe talent deficit against the top teams in the west, and over 82 games, once other teams' scouting departments get some film on this squad, talent is going to win out...it always does. And I'm not going to get myself overly invested in a team that still has major moves to make before it can contend, especially if I know it's going to regress to the mean the same way all the other teams in the Dame/CJ era eventually did. So why should I surround myself with a bunch of polly-anna naivete just so I can watch it all crumble around me into a depressing pool of disappointment because people let themselves get too high early? No, no--I can watch the team by myself, take notes of the things that are sustainable and the things that will need to change, and I'll come back to talk about it with the rest of you when you return from fantasy-land.​
