Shoutout to the alley oop pass! It's back! Haven't seen it since Marcus Camby was on the team!
I loved Camby.
Can we trade Nurk for Camby?

the footwork on defense is eye opening. he generally keeps guys in front of him. What’s most impressive is his defense. He’s a 19 year old in a generation of no defense and he realizes he has the tools to be an excellent defender and he utilizes that.
Before the 2022 draft, if someone said the Blazers could trade the #7 pick for LeBron straight up, 100% of the fans would have said do it. No brainer.
Now, if you said the Blazers could trade Sharp strait up for LeBron...![]()
I think the best part of this is Nurk had a 27/15 night, Ant had a 30/7/5 night, and all the talk is on our 19 year old rookie!
He's only a role player because he chose to be in the second half. He passed on several open looks, even a couple open dunks for open three point shooters that didn't make it. Saying that a guy getting his first start and playing his sixth game above the high school level "still" has timidity is kind of funny. He was a star in the first half of his first game starting and his sixth game past the high school level. Here it comes. Blasphemy.
Sharpe shows talent, athleticism and potential. That is a given.
However as I watched the game tonight, I kept watching for him and yes, he made a few jaw-dropping plays but overall, he was largely a non-factor.
A role player.
An NPC.
Do I believe he can be more? Yes.
However, he seems to still have timidity in his overall game.
That's it.
That being said, I love the fact that he shows enough this early that he gets as much time as he gets and shows it is earned. I look forward to seeing his growth. Just not there yet.
I think Sharpe fills out and is the 3 we've been looking for forever. He's only a role player because he chose to be in the second half. That impressed most of us and Dame. This young man is for real. He's a future superstar. Like Booker now does, at some point Shae will overtake Dame with his game but the two will be a dynamic duo. I don't know what that means for Ant. In today's game they could be a dynamic trio on the perimeter or Ant could be traded in for some interior fire power. We'll just have to wait and see but Shaedon Sharpe is for real!!!
That would be really cool but during Dame's prime he might be the perfect 2 that complements Dame and Ant might be better off running his own offence. We'll see maybe Dame, Ant, Shae, Jerami and Nurk are a championship starting lineup but maybe there's something better out there.I think Sharpe fills out and is the 3 we've been looking for forever.
YepI think our bench is special....Sharpe is the best thing to happen since Dame to this team
I hope Sarr becomes Camby...he's young and has a lot of skills.I loved Camby.

I didn’t get to watch the first half, but I saw in the highlights Sharpe’s first basket was used a Nurk screen to dibble into a mid-range. Sharpe needs to attempt that shot once a game like it’s a drill, let him shoot another if he makes it.I think the best part of this is Nurk had a 27/15 night, Ant had a 30/7/5 night, and all the talk is on our 19 year old rookie!
simons knew what was coming up and he couldnt resist, which goes for greg brown tooBillups ain’t gonna be happy there with that game-ending dunk.
I get what you’re saying. The thing is…. What he has shown, essentially going from HS to the NBA, not playing real games for almost two years, missing summer league…. It’s insane and tells me his ceiling is pretty freaking high.
It’s hard not to be giddy and dream a bit.
I think the NBA started scheduling teams for games like that in 2020 or 2021. I believe their reasoning was to reduce the overall amount of travel for teams. Why two consecutive road games at Phoenix? Don't think I have ever seen that before.
Better for the environment maybe a bonus tooI think the NBA started scheduling teams for games like that in 2020 or 2021. I believe their reasoning was to reduce the overall amount of travel for teams.
The Nuggets will bounce back from their bad start. They already are. I could see them finishing higher than 4. They are a good team. They have defense issues though that could continue to hurt them.
Utah is interesting. They could continue to be good or like the Suns a few years back, start really good and then fizzle out, once teams figure them out.
Sharpe has about 100 minutes of real game action since high school, over 18 months ago. Might want to allow for him being tentative at times
Good point. Makes sense financially too.Better for the environment maybe a bonus too
This roster is nice mix youth and vets. Cracks me up hearing Simons is expandable now that we have Sharpe
it goes for other teams tooWhy two consecutive road games at Phoenix? Don't think I have ever seen that before.
I asked that a week or two ago. What I noticed is every team has to play two consecutive road games in the same city. The thing I noticed that is different is all the other ones I looked at gets a night off between the two games, where the Blazers have to play them back to back nights. Why two consecutive road games at Phoenix? Don't think I have ever seen that before.
