Until he’s hurt. That is.Nas is that guy. Both are low usage players but Nas can actually space the floor a little bit.
Getting hurt will not be tolerated, by anyone, anymore.Until he’s hurt. That is.
Cuz was great playing behind Jokic last year. But apparently, he wants more playing time going forward.Id take Demarcus cousins right now
When we talk about a glue guy, we don't mean "a guy who has to be repeatedly glued back together".Yeah....it's Nas.....
Unless you sell it as featuring him on the 2nd unit, maybei'll just disagree with that one. blazers have invested too much development time on nas to have him backup Winslow.
Until he’s hurt. That is.
We aren't good enough for that. We will be fighting for the play-in as is.I'd gladly trade regular season losses for health, come playoffs.
You're dealing in absolutes. You, nor I, having any knowledge of where this Blazers team ends up record wise.We aren't good enough for that. We will be fighting for the play-in as is.

My argument is your comparing a list of players who accomplished something with their contract value to a player in Ant who has not.Are you suggesting Ant won’t average 20 in a full season? Is that your argument?

I think starting Dame, Ant, Grant, and Nurk is a lock. Now, how do they handle that 5th starting spot, and 2nd unit rotation minutes is the question.
I'm guessing Winslow starts at SF, and Payton and Hart are the first two off the bench. Those two could conceivably cover every position from PG to PF.
I'll come back in a few months and bump this for you. You're dealing in absolutes. You, nor I, having any knowledge of where this Blazers team ends up record wise.
Yep. Nas has to prove he can stay healthy and produce.
Last year's Per36:
- J Winslow: ppg 14.4, rpg 8.4, apg 3.9, drtg 114, PER 14.1
- N Little: ppg 13.6, rpg 7.8, apg 1.8, drtg 116, PER 13.5
Yes, Little is younger. But he's in his 4th year. No time for donation of minutes to develop him. I say put the player out there that gives the Blazers the most productive minutes.
Just make it your signature.I'll come back in a few months and bump this for you.
Then again in another few months.
Ant and Nurk signings are official now.
I don't hate everything that's happened. When Cronin was able to get Grant at that price I felt the CJ/Larry deal was a success especially considering the fit of Grant and Hart. The Norm/RoCo trade was highway robbery, whether they were great here or not. They're NBA rotational level players who will be productive on a contender next year and the contender didn't have to give up close to equal value but I don't know who to blame for that.I don’t get why everyone is so upset.
simons = CJ but probably a better fit next to dame
Hart = norm …hart probably better fit
Grant = Roco but much better
Add GP2 = POA defender we haven’t had in years
I’m confused by all the hate

I do think that the roster we look like we're going into the season with is really great with one gaping hole at backup big. Other than that, it's the best team we've had with Dame. So that's good and I don't see anything that would keep us from getting that big if I'm right and we need him.
This is a cool video by the Blazers media:
Ant is only 23 years old and just got a new contract for 100 million. Whether he starts or comes off the bench he is going to play the same minutes. I doubt he cares right now.

A tough player breeds toughness. Maybe GP2 can bring it?This roster is definitely a level below the one I was on up until I blew my Achilles.
Shit we almost won that Many while trying to loseLooks like a 38-43 win team.
You woudn't say that to his face lol. It's a nice video sure but it's like every dunk he ever did in the NBA. Some of them they had to use two and three times to get enough to make the video.
They even used a couple missed dunks that they cut away from.
Dude is soft to the core. SOFT soft.
Opinions vary. You woudn't say that to his face lol.
It's not, in my opinion. That roster didn't have a bench. That roster didn't have the Dame that this roster will or anyone close to his talent level. Also LaMarcus was aloof and uninterested in Dame's ascension. So I think this is a better constructed roster with a better coach. This roster is definitely a level below the one I was on up until I blew my Achilles.
