OK, the afterglow is gone and I'm left wondering what the fuck we're doing. Do we want wins in a season that is all but guaranteed to be a losing season? Do we want our vets getting all of the usage??? Do we want a lower position in the lotto?
I mean wins are fun in the moment but winning in the playoffs and seeing the progression of young players are the only things that give me actual fulfillment as a Blazers fan. Jerami Grant rescuing this team is meaningless for our team. Brogdon setting the table for the win is meaningless. In my opinion because he doesn't fit well with Scoot or Shaedon, Ant catching fire to keep us in the game is meaningless.
Maybe people will call me miserable or pessimistic but a few minutes ago I was really excited until the reality of our situation and the lack of direction I see sat in.
So you want to tank for four straight years? Brilliant strategy! Let’s keep losing so we can get another bust like Scoot Henderson next year. Brilliant!I got this. I can answer your questions. This year and maybe next year. Not forever. Any other questions?
does not make an ounce of difference in this draft.OK, the afterglow is gone and I'm left wondering what the fuck we're doing. Do we want wins in a season that is all but guaranteed to be a losing season? Do we want our vets getting all of the usage??? Do we want a lower position in the lotto?

And I believe trying to have a winning culture does make a difference in the long run. More reasons to be happy with these wins.christ, those extra losses to get that extra 2.5% is most likely not making a difference in the long run
should be a 2 game win streak
dirty rotten refs, we hate you
It might be a little unpopular to be unhappy after the reality of what a win for our team means in the long run sets in but this is the same team that has lost over 70% of their games and I don't think for a second that this roster was built to win.I agree. Your meltdowns would get a lot of them.![]()

Maybe this is easier to digest: I either want to watch my team in the playoffs or I want my team to have as close to the best chance possible at landing the first pick in the draft while developing their young talent. Why is that controversial? In fact I don't know why that's not universally what we want as a fanbase.
If you don't see tiers of talent in this draft then you haven't been doing any research on it. You're probably just hearing talking heads say that it's a weak draft and taking that to mean that there aren't quality players in it.does not make an ounce of difference in this draft.
Why is intentionally losing games controversial? You really don’t know? You don’t have a clue? Why is that controversial? In fact I don't know why that's not universally what we want as a fanbase.
right. why even bother then? let's just get blasted by 60 every night. If you don't see tiers of talent in this draft then you haven't been doing any research on it. You're probably just hearing talking heads say that it's a weak draft and taking that to mean that there aren't quality players in it.
If there are any quality players in this draft (and there are) I want our front office to have the most options to select the best of those players for our team... or for us to make the playoffs. Which one seems more realistic?
I like seeing our team compete. In the moment I even like seeing them win. It's after the fact that I start getting caught up in the reality that we have no chance of making the playoffs, so the win actually hurts our chances of getting better in the future and getting back to the playoffs.right. why even bother then? let's just get blasted by 60 every night.
Cam is certainly more confident than Amen. I don’t think anybody doubted Cam’s ability to score though, and he’s shown he can certainly put it up. A lot of it is his mentality. I think I read a couple reports that his attitude is why he hasn’t gotten more minutes despite producing like crazy in the limited time. Rockets fans definitely want him on the court more than Amen.Is Cam Whitmore better then Amen Thompson? Seems like everyone wants the Rockets to trade one of their rookies. I think they're both really good, and Houston should keep them. The league goes through Small Forward droughts sometimes.
I said early on, Cam reminded me of Corey Maggette. Haven't changed from that. But, can see why that will not always win him minutes.Cam is certainly more confident than Amen. That being said, if Cam is the reason the Rockets are willing to give up Amen for win-now pieces, gotta snap him up for Brogdon.
He'll get them eventually.Great win. But i need Scoot getting these crunch time mins
http://www.sportstwo.com/threads/trail-blazers-shaking-up-their-broadcasting-department.381860/Blazers TV skipped an entire Rockets possesion to show a Chauncey interview
#FireStottsHouston announcer:
"You come around a pick and you are wide open. Portland doesn't play defense or fight through any screens. This is a great team to get right against."
What a legacy by Cronin/Billups.
So I haven’t read this whole thread…..you gave Chauncy credit for the play he drew up for Grant right?Chauncy will draw up a brilliant last second play, like having Duop shoot a 3 from half court.
He's coached a couple really good games recently...good to see him finish off an OT game, I think we've had about 5 of them this season and lost at least 3.So I haven’t read this whole thread…..you gave Chauncy credit for the play he drew up for Grant right?
