Ref looked like he was about to cry

Sharpe is normally always the first starter to sub out, then plays later with all the subs.

I've actually enjoyed watching Ant this game. He has jacked up a couple bad shots early in the clock but other than that he's been good. He also fed Grant the ball when he was on fire.

This game has made me question if we only remove Ayton how much more enjoyable this team could be to watch.

A bit irrelevant. Ant was pretty good. That's not gonna cut it. It's staggering how little Scoot and Shae have played together the last two years.

Been a couple.game where we had huge offensive hot streaks and still lost.

When we are cold we lose by 40.

I guess that's just how it goes when your a bad team.

Scoot foiled Chris Paul's attempt to tank this game. Paul knows by this time in the season that San Antonio needs another piece. Playing against Portland, he knew it could go either way, and knowing that the team plays much worse when he is not on the floor, he got himself thrown out. However, Scoot out-smarted him and played one of his worse games ever, ensuring the loss.

My takeaways: Wemby is fucking great already, just terrifying how good he might get. Jerami and Ant have a lot to offer any team looking for more offense... Jerami plays on the other end of the court too. Both guys looked good tonight and it makes no sense wasting their abilities here and wasting so many possessions featuring them instead of getting other guys a lot more experience. Neither of them were ball hogs tonight, they let the game come to them, Jerami was unconscious in the third and they just do not belong here.

I'm glad we didn't get further away from the best lotto odds possible and did it in a competitive game. Goddamn Wemby is just that dude and better every time I see him!!!

Was a very entertaining game to watch. I'll have to go to that one in San Antonio in a week. Don't think I've actually seen Wemby play since summer league.

so, Simons and Grant both have their best games of the year, at the same time, at home, against a .500 team...and the Blazers still lost. The loss is helpful for lottery odds, but I don't think this says much positive about the team

I think the Spurs are flush with pieces. That team has Castle along with all of the other perimeter players (Champagnie, Vassell, Brahman Wesely) we saw playing with Wemby (who is a basketball demigod) and Sochan tonight. Nah, they're playing to win this season, probably won't mind some playoff experience with the guidance of CP3 and Barnes.

I missed most of the game while watching a Norwegian thriller with my wife. Last time I tuned in it was about 8 minutes left and the Blazers led 105-88. Way too big a lead to lose, right?

This team has practically coached one of Scoots biggest strengths completely out of his game.

And his usage is just bizarre...so little 21 action to get him baseline to his right in early offense. Very few empty side pnr's... Where did the handoffs go at the elbow to get him an early step?

If we're going to use him in pick and roll in the middle of the floor and also discourage him using his pull-up mid-ranger, you're going to get a lot of plays that go nowhere.

His at-rim decisions also get a lot tougher when teams know that he's not a major threat to pull up.

Wish this team would have let him play to his strengths early in his career and then let him expand from there. Killed his confidence and the road's going to be a long one to get it back. Hope I get to see it in a Blazer uniform but my optimism is waning

I didn't want Clingan because it's an archetype or player that's just not important nowadays. But it was such a shitty draft I was fine with the pick because there weren't any good options.

Been super impressed with him this season. He looks like a good role player today and has more upside than I thought. Can't even think of the last rookie we had that looked this good. Maybe Gary Trent Jr or something. He might end up being the best rookie since Dame.
Gary Trent hardly played his rookie year. Sharpe had a fine rookie year though. And Scoot’s rookie year is underappreciated because of #3 pick expectations. Gary Trent Jr??? WTF?

tried what?? The only coaching he did was when Natalie Gilbert got sick. Cheeks had even less of an idea of wtf to do than Billups does. The only reason why Cheeks might look better is because the talent level was significantly better with the roster he had.

Natalie Gilbert wasn’t sick. She was unprepared.
