i was expecting 3 straight win then lose to Houston and Dallas but who knows, maybe we get the 3 straight win in the back end
All we need is to find a mad scientist and a body snatcher that can find a good pair of hands and calves to replace Donovan's.The center production…
Someone remind DC that he’s 7’3” ffs
Kind of plays like a second year guy who just turned 21.The center production…

Disagree.Kind of plays like a second year guy who just turned 21.
Yes, that is what I meant, thank you!I think they mean it was a competitive game rather than one that had quality of play.
Would you say we had better center rotation LAST season, or THIS?I'm so over our C position having zero offense. At this point, give Yang some minutes at least he can make a pass or get some reps in. Clingan has zero paint moves.
You think Memphis would trade us JA straight up for Jrue?Forget the baggage on Morant who is a better point guard Holiday or Morant. Maybe grizzlies want to cut bait trade could be straight across. Buy when value is low. Waiting for injury to hit Holiday based on history. Morant fast paced guard fit right in with our up tempo offense.
Probably from the same people who said Yang was going to the all star game!Strange, I was told their defense was supposed to follow them on the road.
They didn’t “deserve to lose”, they just didn’t earn the win.Blazers deserved to lose that game pretty sad. Missed three free throws in the last minutes of the game as well
Curious how you think about my season prediction. When I said, “We will be a more competitive, actually better team, but maybe not win as many games as last season.”At least every loss so far has been winnable.
Well, that Laker game is am embarrassing loss, so 4 winnable games and 1 embarrassing loss.
Actually, I'd say the Heat game was borderline embarrassing too.
It is what it is though.
I kinda got murdered on here for claiming we would be better with DA as our starting center. What do you think? The center production…
Someone remind DC that he’s 7’3” ffs
fuck Ayton...that's what I thinkI kinda got murdered on here for claiming we would be better with DA as our starting center. What do you think?
No. It wasn't. It was me that said defense travels. I've never said Yang was going to be an all-star.Probably from the same people who said Yang was going to the all star game!
It's amazing that a global moderator can also be a troll.Strange, I was told their defense was supposed to follow them on the road.
There is no question defense travels better. It's the only way they were even in that game. Blazers went on a 12-0 run to get that game tied up because of defense. It's amazing that a global moderator can also be a troll.
But hey, you got your win for the night, taking a shot at someone because they said a few weeks ago that defense travels better than offense. Congrats. Go pat yourself on the back. Maybe get someone to give you a cupcake, too.
Im tired of seeing him camped out on the three point line!!! Watch some vids of Walton and Haakim!Just looking at the box score to see how the game went…Clingan cannot score 2 points in 29 mins. Period. Ever. Even if they never run a single play for him he should be able to generate 8-12 a night. Pathetic. If they are trying to win (I don’t know still) just started Williams.
Couple of thingsJust a few random thoughts:
-- Toumani hasn't been anything close to the player he was last year. He's not the defender, but, worse, he's been such a net-negative player on offense that it diminishes his net-positive on the defensive end.
-- That turnover on the inbound at the end of the game wasn't all on Jrue. It either was poorly designed or poorly executed in terms of getting someone open. But what caused the turnover was that Shaedon's defender was in a position to help out after passing the ball in bounds. The spacing was terrible. If that doesn't happen, Holiday wouldn't have turned it over.
-- It's not a good thing for any team when Jeremi Grant thinks he has carte blanche. If he thinks you have to play him, it becomes all him and the ball stops moving and it just isn't good for chemistry. Plus, I don't think he works as hard. We had the game cut to 2, gave up a dunk, and then Jerami got to the rim and instead of just scoring you can hear him yell "and 1" as he threw a crazy shot over his shoulder. He's just not a team player. I hope he plays well enough that some fool team trades a first for him at the trade deadline.
-- Scrap the zone. It's awful.
-- That said, there might not be a worse team in the league right now when it comes to defending the dribble drive. Other than Jrue, no one makes any good effort to keep dribblers from getting two feet in the paint.
-- This is the kind of game Shaedon needs to play. He needs to use his midrange and attack of the rim to set up his 3, not the other way around. He needs to think of SGA, not Booker as his playing comp. And he needs to train better.
-- Clingan would be as effective playing with those clubs on both hands that you sometimes see football players wear when they break their wrist as he is with two regular hands.
-- That last turnover aside, Jrue reminds me of Andre Miller in so many ways. He's so crafty, and nothing speeds him up. But Jrue is better in every possible way. Better shooter. Better defender. Just great all-around player.
-- I'm not a Caleb Love fan, but why is he on the team if not for situations like this when two PGs are hurt and you might need someone else that can initiate the offense and give guys 3-4 minutes of a breather?
Anyway, bad loss. Probably not bad in the big picture, because this is a great draft class and if the Blazers are in the lottery they have a chance to add a real difference-maker, and one that won't take long to become a difference-maker. However, it's annoying to lose when you should win, and this was a game that we should have won.
That's asking a bit much, but I would like him to at least learn Robin Lopez's hook shot.Im tired of seeing him camped out on the three point line!!! Watch some vids of Walton and Haakim!
Seriously. Run down the center court, plant your ass in the paint, put your hand in the air and demand the ball!!!!
Yes! Let's build like San Antonio! When's the next generational player coming along that we can luck into?Lastly we’ve found our playing style found our key group now we build to our system similar to how San Antonio did. Just a thought but seems like more Euro style players fit this type of system.
Not going to be popular but Clingans game really doesn’t fit this offensive system. Defensively he’s ok but he hurts you so much on offense that we play a ton of small ball. I’m worried that neither of our centers are a good fit if this is the system we are going to play. Rob’s actually perfect fit athletic runs the floor well has good hands and can finish with power at the rim. If only he could stay healthy! I also like Han and he may be better fit but he’s a couple of years a way and jus not sure he’s a good enough defensive center for our system.Im tired of seeing him camped out on the three point line!!! Ouch snarkyYes! Let's build like San Antonio! When's the next generational player coming along that we can luck into?
, ok I get it we don’t have generational player to build around my point was just build system type team. Look for guys who fit your system. The funny thing about systems is good players will fit into most systems and good systems will find ways to incorporate good players according to their particular set of skills. Not going to be popular but Clingans game really doesn’t fit this offensive system. Puke in my mouth a little but guy like Gobert would be nice fit or Naz Reid or obviously Bam off Miami
