You know, seriously, at some point, you need to learn.
"What do we do consistently when we win? What do we do consistently when we win that we don't do when we lose?"
How many games like this have we seen this year where we don't even bring our C game against a team missing its best player? This is a real concern moving forward. It shouldn't be a thing at this point. And you've got Jrue and Dame that should provide that player leadership (although, I have to be honest, I don't know if Dame is a guy that can provide much to younger players about this kind of thing ... it looks like Shaedon learned perimeter defense from Dame).
Toumani, if you aren't making your 3s, stop firing them up even more. It's not your game. Murray, do something, do anything, for gosh sakes, look like you care.
Deni with the mental block on the FTs. Jeramie more concerned tonight with trying to get to the line than just going to the basket strong with your shot. And Shaedon again, takes one weak to the basket with the game still in doubt and misses ... so the next time he comes down and chucks a 3 and misses that, too.
BTW, the Blazers could learn a lot from the Spurs. Even without their two best players, they do the details. Their spacing is immaculate. Their movement without the ball is immaculate. They do the little things we do not. It helps that they, like almost every team in the league other than the Blazers, values shooting with its role player. It helps to have guys that, if they have to play, you can count on to make wide-open just shots or be a threat to ball fake and drive.
