After yesterday's blue wave, capitulating would be the most absolutley stupid move the Dems could make. They currently have the momentum (for however long it may last). They need to ride it as far as they can. Right now the Republicans own this shutdown, whether they like it or don't. And the longer the shutdown goes, the more ownership the Republicans are going to take on, no matter how hard they try to deflect it, especially with prices ready to start climbing due to the tariffs. I think you're wrong when you say the Republicans won't back down. More than a few are already looking for an off ramp with their re-elections on the line. I mean c'mon. A year from now a lot of Republican voters are going to remember it was the incumbent that fucked them over, not the challenger who wasn't even in office when they got hung out to dry. I suspect a lot of these Republicans clowns are going to be seriously primaried on the Republican side, long before they even have to face a Democrat in the general election. The Democrats just need to keep hammering the message home every chance they get....and Trump needs to keep pandering to the oligarchs at the expense of the masses.....
