You're fine Nate, there's no harm in it from you. You're level headed for the most part, probably more often than I am on here. I'm just complaining about the endless barrage of conspiracies, out there in the world and online. Obviously you're not a flat earther or an election denier or even if you are you don't make anyone on here suffer through constant rambling about it. No, I was just also frustrated with the results of this lottery and am constantly frustrated with the conspiracy culture that's taken hold on our society these days.I haven’t said anyone is naive. Other people are attacking me for my opinion, calling me a Trumper and a flat earther. I don’t know why it pisses you guys off so much that I think it’s possible that the league rigged it. It’s an opinion. So yeah I told some people to go fuck themselves for calling me a trumper. But I haven’t said anyone is naive.
He has the 6th most jersey sales in the country behind Curry, LeBron, Tatum, Brunson, and Wemby. So I’d say probably? How many casual fans could name him?

If you're not calling anyone naive for not buying the idea that you've been talking about then it was me who was out of line and not you. You do your thing. GO BLAZERS!!! Even on a day when according to me bad luck fucked us over and according to you maybe the league did.
Really it's just the Lakers. Take them out and it's not that skewed, especially in recent decades. Yeah Bulls had the Jordan run, Warriors Curry, but outside that those franchise haven't done much. Spurs won a bunch with Duncan. No evolution required. The top half media markets have completely dominated the small markets in terms of championships. I posted the data 2 or 3 years ago. Small markets are fairing much better under the current "market balance" commish, which is nice.
Mostly that was the Blazers own doing prioritizing wins that put us down to pick 11 vs a team like the Jazz guaranteed a top5 pick.We certainly got fucked over one way or the other. We can agree on that.
Bucks might take that for Dame.Who cares if it was rigged or not, who will take Grant and 11?
Having talented evaluators is even more important. They aren't mutually exclusive. And what's that get us? Scoot level players?
But what's the point of losing 11 just to get out of Grants deal?Yeah but if we include 11 I think we can get someone to bite.

While I hate having Grant and his contract I don't see us getting close to #11 value if it was off our cap. We might just spend it on a huge deal for Ant or Ayton.
You "tank" because you have better odds to get better players the higher you pick.Just saying the teams with the 11th and 8th best odds got the top two picks. Why tank? We need to develop players and get better. That's the only chance we have. Losing games on purpose isn't going to get us anywhere.

You don't "tank" to get the first pick. As I have been saying all along. Though you get a higher chance for that as well.
And you get the old guys that you know you aren't going to build with out of the way so the young guys you currently have can get the game reps you need them getting.
Which would be evidence that having a higher floor of where your pick could be is important because you can never rely fully on chance. It just seems like drafts keep getting weaker. Outside the top few picks, most players in the past few drafts have been crap.
Because we need the cap space to keep building our team. We have to pay some of these younger players and will have to pay more of them to keep them soon. Can't do that with giant useless contracts like Grants hanging around.
Odd dynamic to Flagg or any Mavs star... Would you want to join that franchise? You've seen how they treat a superstar that carries a team to the finals. I could see stars prefer not to be on a team with that owner or Nico as the GM.I'll be honest, Nico didn't deserve Flagg but those Dallas fans probably did. Could you imagine having to watch our team get a guy as fucking gifted as Luka and then having our GM give him away for AD (who surprise surprise has a season ending injury) and one future FRP.
I always only want nice things for us and we rarely get them but when I take a step back, at least he went to the Mavs and their abused fans instead of the seemingly always lucky Spurs... who still seem like they're going to get the second best guy in this draft... SMH.

You don't give up young talent for something theoretical. There is no immediate need for cap space which it wouldn't even create by moving him. The optics alone is why it won't happen. I also don't think it would take a lottery pick to move Grant. I also think he'd be fine coming off the bench and provide scoring.

Blazers have been doing that for years
This is only the 2nd time the Mavs will have picked #1.Unless you are the Mavericks or Spurs
Ant, Ayton, Thybulle and Timelord contracts all expire this summer. Deni and Camara are on cheap deals. Cap is going up a lot too. As long as we don't hand out more stupid contracts we can eat the Grant deal.Because we need the cap space to keep building our team. Doing what exactly?

I mean if we can sign multiple stars with Grant space of course I'd explore that. I just doubt that's the case. Much better to keep #11 and try to get a good player. They will be on a cheap contract longer than Grants deal.
So are Meyers Leonard and and current Rip City Reviewer James BouknightReggie Miller and Klay Thompson are 11th picks
Yeah there's always a couple teams that jump.Unless you are the Mavericks or Spurs
Yeah there's always a couple teams that jump.
Odds are any one team will be part of the group of a dozen teams that don't jump. 12 of the 14 teams in the lottery slotted right about where they were expected to.
