Aldridge to the Spurs(Official)

I wonder if he'll address Blazer fans. But I doubt it, I mean, we're not Texans after all. :)

Super anxious to see how Popovich uses Aldridge. Up to this point, I think it's been up to Aldridge, and now that could change. Will be interesting.

Wow, I honestly didn't think he'd go.... we loved him and he knows how bad he's going to crush the fans and the franchise. It's tough to take another blow like this, being a Blazer fan entails a lot of heartbreak.

Our team will be fine. We have the makings of a young athletic team capable of running the pick and roll system with our undisputed franchise player in Dame! Go Blazers!!!

I was thinking the same thing. Pops still rips Duncan's head off from time to time.

and this is why it's not show-friends, it's show-business.

Hard to trust players after this. It's tough because LMA is a good player, because we could've received something in return last year or the year before when he didn't sign extensions, because he made all the comments he did about "best ever" and "jersey in the rafters"...

Well. On the bright side. There is always tickets to the Portland Thunder where you can watch Harleys and eat nachos. It's a hell of a Vienna!

34 does not seem to be "his prime", does it?

For a jump shooting 6'11" 4? And I just saw on twitter it's a player option in the 4th, so he can exit even earlier if shit goes sideways, or push for a bigger deal with the Spurs at that time.

All I hope now is that we don't help their cap with a sign and trade. Let them choke on the cap. Their picks and any of their players won't help us.

The grass is always greener mother *******

He had a good thing here, and he is not good enough to carry the torch that Duncan holds. Duncan is the GOAT power forward, LA is just another name. Now that he won't have a legacy for a team he will be forgotten in 15-20 years.

If only we would have started rumors that LMA has his own Hoop Family the Spurs would never have wanted him.

@WojYahooNBA: Spurs are aggressively pursuing free agent David West with a veteran minimum offer now, sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Wow.

How do you earn FA? I've always wondered. Why are others UFAs?
He played 9 years in one place under team control. He earned the right to leave for somewhere else for nothing. Our GM seemed to trust him when he denied a max extension last year saying "nah, man, I'm good...I just wanna sign the 5 year! I'm definitely coming back!"

Psyche.

I like LMA. He is a great player and it was fun to watch him on the Blazers. All the luck in San Antonio other than when playing the Blazers.

This is disgusting. I pray that Lillard in 6 years doesn't pull this shit.

However, I have more faith in him leading this team to glory than He Who Shall Not Be Named.

He's gotta start playing at both ends of the court . . . Anything is possible I guess?

Thanks, turncoat. Don't let the door hit you.

(Yes, I'm irrationally angry and will get over it.)

Nah Lillard has been outspoken about his loyalty to Portland. He was loyal to weber state as well when he could've gone somewhere else

cant wait for meyers to shoot lights out and play perfect defense against this bitch

I just want to remind all the people who thought it would be impossible for the Spurs to sign him how wrong they were. I also want to remind the people who were against trading the guy before he could leave for nothing how wrong they were as well.

Lastly, I want to thank LA for his time here, wish him luck in San Antonio and say let the rebuild begin.
