Aldridge to the Spurs(Official)

There was an article mentioning Markiff is extremely upset they traded his brother. I wouldn't be surprised if he forces them to trade him.

Still, they didn't gut their team.

Marcus Morris was a half-time player for them. A PF who shot .434 from the field.

Hardly a comparison to the loss the Blazers suffered, losing LMA.

I can't believe i'm saying this, but Kevin Love has way more class than LaMarCuch Aldridge.

It is interesting to compare Aldridge to Love. They both did the same thing (bolted for brighter pastures), but did
Seriously though, I get that we are mad, but how angry would you be if you were a Suns fan right now? They fucked up their team because this douche on a power trip led them to believe they had a shot. They never had a shot. We never had a shot.

Far from gutted, but they did get rid of a key role player in Marcus Morris, and his departure could have a negative effect on his brother's play. The Morris brothers have always been a package, curious to see how they do without each other.

This guy wanted out of Portland let's face it. Look at all the teams he met with. Then the Suns were "close". What the fuck?! This dude completely wanted out and we may never know why.

No worries, I played power forward in high school.

Gimme the ball, coach!

The Blazers should sign me. With my lack of basketball skills, I may never get off the bench.

But when we play the Spurs, I would tell coach to put me in the game so that I could kick LaMarshmellow right in the vagina!

But with this fiasco, it could be possible Markiff either checks out or demands a trade

And this motherfucker really hasn't said shit about the fans. No thank you or nothing. Nic batum had three tweets dedicated to us. Plumlee even thanks the fucking nets. What the fuck is going on?! This dude really hated it here

I never said the word "gutted." Why do people keep saying gutted? I said they fucked up their team, and if trading a Morris twin causes drama and inner strife, then I'd say it was a bunch of heartache with zero compensation.

Neither LA, Lopez, Matthews or Afflalo have said anything about Portland.

Like I said blessing in disguise.

Markief Morris is a 6'10" PF who shoots .465 from the field. I'd rather have Taj Gibson.

Dunno.
Also dunno why him and Lillard couldn't get along.

Mixed emotions about this. I get that he blatantly lied to the Blazers organization and fans and for that I can never cheer him on with any other team, but at the same time he did a lot for this franchise so I cannot bring myself to disrespect him. I guess at most if I ever go to a Blazer game and see him play and the crowd boos, I would boo right along with them.

I keep going back to the Eggers article after Nic was matched. After Neil had been on the job about a month. He points out multiple times where NO, uh, "retreated on his previous statement" or was called out as a liar. As a relatively intelligent guy, being patronized isn't my bag. But whatever. I hope he keeps doing good work as long as he's helping my team. If not, back to LA with you.

Kerry Eggers said:
Olshey said Batum’s pending contract “isn’t as egregious as ... was reported in the media. There were some bonuses included that were disallowed by the league.”
Ndaiye said that wasn’t true, that the $46.5-million figure is accurate.
Olshey chided a reporter for suggesting the Blazers might have paid too much for Batum.
The contract amount “doesn’t matter,” Olshey said. Then the Blazer GM had a suggestion for the media: “Let us worry about the money. You guys worry about the players and how well or how poorly we play and how guys are developing. We’ll worry about how we manage our cap and what guys get paid.”
Sure, Neil. Go out and spend Paul Allen’s dollars the way you see fit, and we’ll just trust that you’re making good decisions. Our job in the media is to support you and cheerlead and cross our fingers that you know what you’re doing.
That’s certainly the way Blazer fans want us to behave.
Olshey made another comment that astounded me: “Guys’ value is based on what they bring to the team, and I can assure you Nicolas will absolutely live up to this contract.”
How can Olshey be so sure?

So when can I start worrying about the players, or how you didn't pay them?

Dunno.

Cuz real recognize real and lamarcus is the opposite of real.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if that phone call was Lillard just telling aldridge off.

"I said a lot. He said a lot"

You aren't getting it. They would lose both. They aren't spectacular, but that's all they really have.

PJ Tucker, their SF, had as many rebounds as Morris. In fewer minutes.

LOL.

For the same reason he wasn't very tight with Roy and he felt shadowed by Oden. Look at who he says where his closest friends here....Alonzo Gee? Guys who wouldn't threaten his status in the least.

So he goes to the Spurs where he's not the main attraction either? I don't know...

The guy had felt slighted from day one. Angry that he didn't get the recognition as the #2 overall pick and Roy got all the publicity. Angry that he was the third fiddle behind Roy and Oden. And then Dame comes along and it's once again second fiddle. He doesn't put any of the onus on himself for being the quiet one. He doesn't accept that he isn't very marketable. He hasn't worked on his interviews at all. He's an introvert. He doesn't have an outgoing personality. He doesn't put himself out there, and that's fine, but he acts like he should be the #1, when in reality Dame has done more for this organization in three years than Aldridge did in nine.

Anyone notice that an earthquake hit right before the announcement?

Even mother nature is a Blazers fan.
