More so not only do I get every game. If I happen to not be able to watch a game I can record it and watch it any time I wish.

you should check into eyestream....

No not in any way are you correct. I’m paying just under $100 for my cable and internet that my kids and Wife use constantly. I’m paying 15 bucks so I can watch the Blazers and Mariners and pretty much every other major sports events that come along. I also watch the streaming through peacock and paramount. On top of that I have HBO. So try to keep up here. $167 covers way more than just Blazers. The part that brings me EVERY game they play is $15 bucks.
Well sure if your already paying 1-2 thousand a year its not a lot extra for Blazers. But many people don't buy all that other stuff you do so it's very expensive for them to add the Blazers.

It is possible to physically be in Portland, but watch from 'Mexico' where it is not blacked out.
It's also possible to go to the grocery store and only scan a $1 item twice instead of the $50+1 items you take.

Both examples are fraud/theft.

Sure, but could you just pay the $15 and get only the Blazers/Sports or do you have to pay for that $100 package to get the $15 added on?

It is what it is. I pay just under a $100 bucks a month for DirectTV streaming. Not worried about it. I get to watch the Blazers. What I'm worried about is watching the Blazers be bad. Looking forward to Scoot/Sharpe though.

Pulling that shoplifting stunt is prosecutable. Logging on to an illegal stream is not prosecutable, it's not even technically illegal, it's the person who is broadcasting the stream who is committing the crime. I'm assuming you've watched enough sporting events that you've heard the messages about what is illegal. Watching the game regardless of the source is never mentioned.

Oh and I pay for DirecTV Stream so I don't tune into any illegal streams for Blazers games. PPV fights might be a different story though.

The NBA is trying to make it illegal.

The NBA is trying to make it illegal.
I've paid pretty close attention to that situation and it seems like they are just trying to make it more punitive for those broadcasting the streams but who knows what is being said behind closed doors. If they do want the illegal streaming to stop they will have to go after the viewer but I think they'd have a really hard time doing that because if that was a possibility they would have done it a long time ago. I'm not a fan of Joe Rogan at all but I think he's right when he says you can't beat the internet.

If these entertainment companies like pro sports leagues and other production companies weren't making billions upon billions of dollars in profit and were actually taking overall losses due to illegal streams then I think federal legislation would get a lot more aggressive.

Thanks for the tip
At the Walmart in Tigard they were checking the time stamp on receipts.
The guy there said that people are bringing receipts back from previous purchases, then carrying the old receipt with the same items (unpaid for).

Doesn't matter. It's a horrible model that will never make them more money.

Want to maximize profits? Offer a great service at a price everyone can afford. Done.

You don’t get it. In every way I’m correct. What does someone do who doesn’t want cable? You can’t get the Blazers games for $15 because you have to buy the cable package firat. Doesn’t matter if your wife and kids watch it. How do you not understand that?

Great point. I have a family that watches tv and uses internet so yeah I pay for it.

I get it. For $15 extra bucks a month.
Now let’s wait until there is a better deal.
You’ll be waiting a long while.

You have to have at least internet and basic. That is what seems to be the problem for @KingSpeed
I have a family so I’m buying that anyway.
Thing is if I was single living alone I would have it also. Just like I pay for a cell phone.
No I don’t want to watch games on my phone.

No I don’t want to watch games on my phone.

But, hey it's the Blazers. Gotta pay it. It will be nice to see if the Blazers do their own streaming service like the Suns though following the new tv deal.

If you paid attention you could get chicken nuggets for free every time they score 100 points.
Why ya got to make Mrs HCP do all that. She’s a very busy lady.
McDonald's doesn't serve them to you in bed.

I want that for you all who want this as well. If I can find a way to have all the things I get for less I’m certainly game.

Not quite as done of a deal as everybody thought. They are being sued over that and I think it’s on pause.
