Here was the bottom of last season

Detroit
Washington
Portland
Charlotte
San Antonio
Toronto
Memphis
Utah
Brooklyn
Atlanta
Chicago
Houston
Golden State

I think these teams will pull out of the lottery:
Golden State
Memphis
Houston
Atlanta?

Here are the teams that have gotten markedly worse and I think will be actively tanking:
Detroit
Washington
Portland
Brooklyn
Chicago

I'm not sure about:
Charlotte
SAS
Utah
Raptors

Toronto for sure also will be tanking. Utah depending on what happens to Laudi

I'm not sure how bad the Spurs will be. If CP3 accepts his role as floor-coach and mentor and Castle performs well for a 4th pick, the Spurs might be better than a cellar-dweller. Popovich is still the coach and I believe the Spurs still could have either cap-space or the full-MLE to use

Yeah..... I really don't know if I see San Antonio and Charlotte full tanking this year.

What is the definition of "Full" tanking? That list might get real small depending on the definition.

san antonio are better at tanking than anyone else. remember point sochan? now they grab cp3--a big name who can play 40-50 games including all of their national dates but will exit when needed for massively long losing streaks. I commend any franchise that can keep the stink of losing off of their players/assets.

As much as I have embraced the rebuild after Dame trade something just came to me ....

If Dame was still here I think there is a decent chance ( 25 to 50% ) that James might have jumped ship to the Blazers after we drafted his son and then we might have a chance at a ring but whatever call this thought a fantasy but never know ....

Blazers signed Justin Minaya's 2-way contract. He played 34 games last year, averaged 11m, shot 29% FG. The tank lords may need his services once again.

When you've got the loaded roster Portland does, you just have to run it back and let it cook and start winning those championships. Sell draft picks and let other teams sign free agents... the Blazers are all set!

did you know, Portland drafted Jokic 2.0 with the #7 pick ?? Yes, that's right, Clingan is already an upgraded MVP Center. Now... use comps on all the other Blazers until they resemble the world champion Nuggets team.

If needed, don't watch the 2025 Blazers season. Then come back next summer to install even more MVP and championship comparisons.

Rebuilding is fun !! If only every team could rebuild. Unfortunately basic math won't let 28 teams lose for lottery picks, with 2 teams going 82-0 and making it to the BORING finals.

There will always be a handful of teams that Blazer fans can pick on, because opposing GM's are too stupid to tank their mediocre season for improved lottery percentages. And even if they do tank, they're not drafting MVP's like Portland.

no, I don't always have original opinions. I sometimes use the actual takes from the "other" Blazer fan forum.

If anyone wanted to read Blazers Edge, they'd be over there reading it, we don't need it brought here

I'm 99% convinced Jody hired a bot company for Blazers Edge. There's nothing wrong with optimism, but the outlandish positivity can be hilarious.

I am inclined to think Detroit, San Antonio, and Charlotte will all be in a different tanking tier compared to Portland/Washington/Toronto/Brooklyn/Chicago.

Utah always can't seem to help themselves and win more games than they want.

I clicked on the latest 1080 radio pod. After a brief update on the amazing Joe Cronin, they immediately began blabbing about exciting things on tap for the Portland next summer.

.... too bad we can't hit Fast Forward and skip a year. I reckon this Front Office has a major league tank agenda.

San Antonio might just be too good with Wemby.

But they'll probably jump into the top 4 from 12 though. That's usually how it goes.

Cant confirm, but I think they have an unprotected Hawks pick coming in as well...
