When his career blew up, I thought his best basketball was ahead of him for like two seasons after he left the Sixers. The guy was Rookie of the Year, he was a three time all star, he was an all defensive first teamer twice and an all nba third teamer once. He's 29 and won't turn 30 until next off season. I'm still sad that this dude never got his mind right after that Atlanta series. It's a real shame. He thinks he is going to get better? Ha

Sad from a basketball perspective but this story is actually heartbreaking.Yeah it's sad, but that was probably the only offer he was going to get.
Giddey 22, same age and better stats than Shae and probably similar D, maybe a bit better off of last year, just looking at possible comparisonshttps://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/46208674/josh-giddey-agrees-4-year-100m-extension-bulls
Restricted free agent Josh Giddey has reached agreement on a four-year, $100 million contract to re-sign with the Chicago Bulls
The deal is fully guaranteed and contains no player or team options.
Thx for the numbers, seems like a fair deal for Giddey, wonder what Shae and agent think he should get? will they bet on nexy year or perhaps extend? will a new owner coming make current ownership more likely to wait on giving out extensions?statistically, for what it's worth, Giddey is a lot better defensively than Sharpe. He's a lot better statistically on both ends of the floor

That's... shockingly reasonable. I bet it helps that Giddey is Aussie. Foreigners seem to value dollars more than Americans.https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/46208674/josh-giddey-agrees-4-year-100m-extension-bulls

How about Toumani.
obviously Camara is better on defense. Giddey really improved on that end of the floor
overall, Giddey probably has a bigger impact because of his offense; big edges in passing and rebounding. About even in shooting efficiency
I’d be fine if he came to Blazers for the minimum. He’s still a useful player and would be another great defender on our bench. He’s not an All Star but he’s not a zero either.Yeah it's sad, but that was probably the only offer he was going to get.
The real answer is: he's an amazing lockerroom guy, and NBA teams know how valuable they can be. See Haslem, Udonis.Question.
How has Garrett Temple been around for 15 years, while shooting a career 40% and 34% from 3 and scoring in double figures for a season once? I get that players can be useful in other ways, but 15 years?
Who would you rather have? I would prefer an all-NBA type defender who is decent on offense over a good offensive player.
They seem harder to find. But I guess it comes down to team needs

Lebron can replace MJ in all his championship teams and win as much.
I doubt MJ can beat the 16 warriors with love and kyrie.
I don’t think bringing Simmons to Portland would be good at all. That guy just seems toxic on a bunch of levels.
Hmmm? Not sure it works that way really but maybe?Have him move into Lillard's house and have Dame mentor him. If there is anyone who can get Simmons' mind right, it's Dame.
LOLZ!
So you’re saying there are players which wouldn’t shoot it because of their FG% which now will shoot it because it won’t matter?I do think this is a little bit lame just on principle but it will likely result in a lot more makes at the end of quarters which will be fun.
